Looking like 7 or 8 at this point.

Which beats the crap out of the measly 2 I got last season.

Unless a miracle happens and Sundown opens this week, looks like 2 for me which is one better than last year. Two very good and satisfying days I might add.

I ended up with 8 for the month. 1 Sunday River. 6 lift-serviced at Killington. One earned turns day at Killington.

Hopefully 4-6 days.

I guess I was a little overzealous. I just got back from day 2 in November, Belleayre, and it looks like the next time I'll ski will probably be Dec. 3rd. I'm very happy I got those 2 days in though, it's much better than my zero days last November.

Know of folks who just hit Stowe and the 'Bush-- nothing to write home about, so I figure I will catch up in early December. If y'all see AHM out there without me, please deal him a hip-check (for you hockey-playing women and men), or at least dust him on a couple of turns. Come on here, are we not a community??? Let it snow. A lot.

For the last few years I have gotten one day in November. I call it my recon mission. I was supposed to get one yesterday, but my car broke down on the NYS Thruway just before the Woodbury toll barrier. It just conked out on me at 65 MPH. Started misfiring, then lost power and died.

I guess I should have gotten the hint when I had to jump it at 6 AM in my driveway in NJ. But it was a ski day, and if it was only the damn 11-month-old battery, well I was sure I could get up to Belleayre, ski, and jump it again if I had to at 3 PM. Threw the cables in with the skis and took off....

Called AAA on the Thruway. After 30 minutes of waiting, I got the car to start again. Decided not to push my luck and turned around. Car conked only once on the way home.

Wasn't the battery. I had a short in my wiring harness that attaches to my spark coil. Got away with an under-$300 repair (rare in these parts of Jersey).

Hopefully I can make it up next Sunday.

O crap, that would be December
