Today was #27, and that's it. It was nice to end with a May corn day.

Today was the last day of my season with 44 days. I safely bested my previous record of 33 days in 1998-1999.

Camelback (PA) 1 visit
Campgaw (NJ) 4 visits
Hidden Valley (NJ) 1 visit
Mountain Creek (NJ) 1 visit
Mount Peter (NY) 3 visits

Would have been more if not for the slow start to the season.
First day was Dec. 17 at Campgaw, 10 minutes from home, drove by, saw snow, grabbed my gear and went back.
Last day was April 16 at Belleayre during the noreaster.
Hopefully Belleayre opens Nov. 11 this year like they plan.

I'll be ripping up Little Joe at Sundown with my daughter next year quite a bit so maybe I'll see you there? Don't expect much the first season...

I am done for this season with a very respectable 45 days. I probably would have had 50-60 days if November and December where not so warm and snowless.

Only 6 months till next season, that will go by fast and I'll be skiing again before I know it.

In my mind, northern New England
It's official. I've turned down the bindings and slapped on a thick layer of wax on my skis. As far as I am concerned, the 2006-07 ski season is over. After a slow start in December and January, the snow and deep freeze came and the great skiing didn't stop until May.

I contemplated hiking and sliding on Killington next weekend but I have to be in town for work. I finished the season with 33 ski days (Larry Bird's number). Pretty respectable and way above last year's total. Season break down is as follows:

Sunday River - 12
Killington - 5
Sugarloaf - 3
Mad River Glen - 2
Sunapee - 2
Crotched Mountain - 1
Wachusset - 1
Okemo - 1
Pico - 1
Burke - 1
Sugarbush - 1
Mount Snow - 1
Wildcat - 1

And the granddaddy of 'em all...Tuckerman Ravine last weekend.

For now, it's time to do other things summer -- get on the bike, bring out the grill, hit the beach, sail the Charles and obsess over the Red Sox. I hope that the wait for snow isn't too long. Winter is just a baseball season away!

Ok, got day 51 at Tucks this past Sunday and a few "turns" in at Killington today. Today's turns were so minimal I won't count it as a day. Hold you breath Greg, video coming up! :spread: Oh, I thought I was going to get lift serviced turns today, didn't work out that way though.

I recorded 11, but there may have been a few lunchtime runs I missed.

Berkshire East, MA - 5
Wildcat, NH - 2
Mt. Snow, VT - 1
Black, NH - 1
Crotched, NH - 1
Loon, NH - 1

Two less days than 2005-2006.

87 Days...31 Powder days in the East ( a powder day is at least a good run with untracked snow 18" deep or more.....you need to feel the force against you!)

It was a GREAT YEAR! a little late but GREAT.

As I've said in the past. There are two months that are great...two that suck and two in the middle. Well this year, they came late! But they came!
