I had GREAT weekend skiing Hunter and part of the fun was the "bumps course" the instructors had built on Broadway. It was a blast skiing them, over and over again, and it was even more fun watching the little kids take the jump and then ski the bumps down.
I think Hunter should be commended for leaving the bumps course alone and not plowing it down at night while grooming. Between that, the boarder-cross course (which was closed to all but competitors but was still fun to watch) and the new mini-terrain park they just built on Hunter One, there is a lot of stuff to play on at Hunter and it certainly makes a nice change for those of us who ski there often.
Unless it's spring, I don't usually get to practice a good line of bumps on an intermediate pitch. I'm usually too worried about staying alive on Annapurna/Lower K etc. to work on technique. I hope they leave the bump line there for the rest of the season!
