Is this season worse than 2015--2016?

I had a Snow/Stratton pass for the 15/16 season and I remember it was pretty much just white bands surrounded by brown in the trees at both places for almost all of the season. Only place I went last year with that little natural snow was Jack Frost in PA... My last day at Snow that year was in March, I hit a rock with my bases in the middle of Lodge and took a nasty tumble and called it quits right there because it just wasn't worth it. This year has already been significantly better than that (though so far not nearly as good as last year).

Good season for me so far. 16 days and only 1 was a bit crappy...at 6 below zero and a bit frozen. You have to get it while you can. Early season was good, then bailed west for the thaw. Now its coming back. My wife says I'm obsessed with the weather. Uh yeah, its what skiers have to be.

15/16 and 11/12 were awful. This hasn't been great, but winter is returning.

I've only skied once due to other commitments and lousy weather. I plan to really get my season started in a week or two, the winter weather outlook looks promising for February & into March for New England.

We have a long way to go before you could make any definitive statements. That said, at this point in the season I've skied far more vertical already than I did at the same point in 15/16 (of course being relegated to lapping groomers the past couple weeks has helped pad those numbers a bit compared to when more natural terrain is in play).

11/12 was the year we had the Halloween storm then had really nothing else until a little at the end of Feb.

It was the longest most miserable season I can remember. I skied the earliest and latest until last year when I made it to June. I remember skiing October powder at Killington and a 15" powder day at Song in April, 3 weeks after they closed. And they didn't bother reopening for it either.
