He may not have been able to make the best of his trip skiing wise, due to injuries, but he sure did make up for it drinking wise the night before. ;)

Too many quality runs to count from last year, at least (100) and I think that's very conservative. Quality over quantity any time. I'm fortunate to be able to just take off whenever it snows! For starters I was there for opening day at MRG 12/6 and Magic 12/22 with a couple feet of untouched at both. That's about (16) right there...................not to mention the 12/3 storm at Mt. Snow when we were helping the ski patrol drop ropes on all the North Face! And that's before Christmas!
If this year is 75% as good as last year I'll be very ecstatic. Definitely spoiled after last year though.

Don't know about untouched on opening day at MRG. We and 30 other people lapped the crap outta MRG on 12/5. I bet there was something left for you though. ;)
MRG 12/5
Most blower snow of the year.

my most memorable day of last season was December 4th, 2007 @ killington, where deep pow was to be found all over the place (my first pow day of the season, and also one of the deepest).

a reserved Vagabond, which me and one skier tracked out in the first couple hours.

Talk about how photos don't show a pitch. If I had not skied that, I would think part of that us uphill.

i was about to say the same thing

Funny. I see a fair amount of pitch there. I think I've trained myself to filter 2D images into seeing more pitch based on the pics I've taken that don't look as steep as I know they are.

We had to laugh when we pulled up and saw all the tracks! There was plenty to be found though, even in Paradise at the end of the day we could still find some lines (no lines on the lift after 2:00). The first couple we actually did Fall Line to the Glades which had plenty because everyone else was heading out to Paradise, Chute, and Catamount. The single actually shut down for a bit around 10:00 and we found some off the double too!

Too many to count. Best was a week in Colorado just about every day. Pull up to our condo in Avon Saturday afternoon dumping. Lots of fun going over Vail Pass in a snowstorm! Dumped all night. 15+". Went out Sunday to Beaver Creek to untracked powder just about any trail my buddy and I went down. Amazing how they just don't get overrun with people at BC. Went to sleep that night and woke up to a surprise 12" Monday morning with untracked again and not a soul in sight! Sunny, 30's and 40's and no wind the entire week. Hit Copper Tuesday with 6" fresh overnight. Couldn't of had a better week if I had dreamed it. Had many good days at Killington. I do remember hitting the Bay1 BBQ one Sunday in April in my shorts and tee shirt, sunny and warm. A little drinking and feasting with the gang. Woke up Monday morning and it was in the 30's and dumping! Had a great morning with barely anyone on the mountain. Afternoon sucked though because I broke my bindings and the precip started to turn wet, but until 1 it was great!

Oh, why not. Opening day at Jay Peak last year on November 17th....

Man, I just LOVE going waist deep into a drift on a knee deep powder day. Skiing trees in November = sickness. And that was only my fifth day of the season at that point.

Though to be honest, I will take a little less in November and December and have a few more epics in the January through March time frame. November and December powder days are sick because competition is waaaay low, even despite the limited terrain (well, everything was open by last December, LOL). But I would prefer more often when the canvas is stretched to its maximum. Last year had some epics.... but last year was not epic in and of itself.
