I shouldn't post this, but I do want Magic to survive....

Had a hunch that this place would be primo to ski right after a good storm, so that got me thinking. A call over to Magic and it was revealed that it will take about 2' to open the closed trails, ...and.... drumroll please...... they won't groom it before they drop the ropes. It's lookin like Magic may be my hot spot in the next 24-48....

:daffy:
p.s., don't talk to me about ruining my bases:-? I've skied in a lot crappier stuff in January already...

Should be fun. I can't get away, but this might just be the day to hit Magic.

I was there on Friday for the first time and what they had open was in great shape. The closed trails looked fun, but I agree they need 2' minimum in order to open them.
The only negative that I have is that the chair is painfully slow, but that won't stop me from being there this weekend.

I'm planning on hitting Magic on Friday. By that time the winds will have died down somewhat and there should still be plenty of freshies at Magic since they get such little mid-week traffic. I know there will be plenty of powderhounds out on Thursday but Magic should be the least tracked out of the good southern VT areas. At least I'm hoping so.

Anyone whose planning on hitting Magic Friday want to meet up for some runs?
