Hot weather doesn't care about base depth, kills things off regardless of how deep it is.

I also looked at the graph.

There must be a mistake in the data for the end of April...notice how the chart indicates that the fell to six inches of snow and then picked up five feet. Though that is around the time of the last Nor'Easter, which dumped mainly rain. :blink:

There are alot of places where the graph spikes down like that- I think there are some holes in the data. Or it could be rain.

That's a good point...does the graph represent snow depth, or snow accumulations after they fall? I thought it was the former....

EDIT: it says depth. So there must be data points that aren't right.

Missing data point I assume. They had at least one other point like that during the season that was eventually corrected.

Yes, that graph is depth. It's a mistake.

Why can't we have this season blur into next season so that they are indistinguishable, and you can't really define whether you are skiing in the 06-07 season or the 07-08 season?
