I won't be contributing to this thread during the race today :( as I'll be driving to VT, and somethign tells me that the CT/MA/VT police wouldn't take too kindly to me madly typing away on my Blackberry as I'm cruising down the roads ;)

Not unreasonable to think that 2 US men could medal in this one (a bit more of a stretch than the last couple of ladies events), but Bode and Ted have been skiing quite well as of late, and Andrew Weibrecht is definitely coming into his own this season with some very solid results, and as of now it appears that it's only a matter of time before he has his big break through, podium finish day. Why not today???

Why can't they allow an audio broadcast of the games?

I'm simply not so confident. I can't get as worked up over this year's men:

"Europeans have won every installment of the Olympic super-G since its addition to the program in 1988, and have several leading candidates for gold in 2010." Didier Cuche, Aksel Lund Svindal, Manuel Osborne-Paradishttp://www.nbcolympics.com/athletes/athlete=2063/index.html

"The U.S. has only won one medal - a silver by Tommy Moe at the 1994 Lillehammer Games - in six previous Olympic super-G competitions."

Miller is coming off a crappy performance last year.
". Miller won World Cup super-G titles in 2005 and 2007, before enduring his worst season since 2002 last season. He has rebounded to some extent this season, posting two top-ten finishes in the event,"

It is looking like the live feed from Eurosport will be available here:

http://channelsurfing.net/watch-winter-olympics-2.html

It only works in Internet Explorer and you have to install a quick add-on called Sopcast
http://download.sopcast.cn/download/SopCast.zip

I've got that one going. Kinda wish it was a German feed instead. I'd be able to understand the commentary. Tried to get to the actual Eurosport player, but it's blocked. So much for a free and open internet. :smash:

I think my company blocks it. I've loaded sopcast, the screen comes up with a static baby-blue splash page, then nothing happens. I tried it the last three days, before, during and after the comp. I tried pressing the play button, nothing.
