Let me know when you want to do a guerilla snow board run at MRG and I'll drive you up to the height of land on VT 17 and pick you up at the Base Box for a clean get away (I suggest doing this when there is snow versus July 4th). There are a couple of guerilla snow board runs made a t MRG each year and they seem to be taken in stride.

F Iraq..even the soldiers don't want to be there..being in the military would be bad for my ski days..

I wasn't giving you a choice. The point was, those who are disrespectfull to service people DESERVE to be sent. Then you will KNOW why you should be respectfull to service people.

P.S. The only reason MRG exists in the first place is thanks to the efforts of people like OldsnowboarderME and the Nato Allies in WWII.

If you are thanking vetrans, I appreciate the support. In case you are interested NATO was formed after WWII as an off-set to the Warsaw Pact.

Before you go and make statements I am sure you went and asked the soldiers all of their opinions right. Out of the 3 friends of mine that signed up after graduating high school(2004 so its after 9-11, they knew they would be shipped over) all 3 returned. 2 chose to returne for a second go, while the other didn't.

So before you spout off info try researching it. Then learn to stfu. You spout off way too much about things you know nothing about.

Ah yes, you are correct. They were only called the allies in WWII. I always go out of my way to thank service people retired or not

P.S. Steezy. I forgot to mention... You'll be respectfull if you manage to actually MAKE IT BACK. A lot don't. :-(

Let's not make this political or I'm gonna lose my shit.
Snowboarding is free, it's the lifts that they control. You can drive to the top forchrisake! I would think the sweetest pow run for a rider in the NE would be dropping in at the glen about 30 seconds before first single chair unloaded.
I call you gyus out to show MRG how bad you want it with a critical mass event. Pick a Powder morning, show up in mass at the top of the gap and gut the hill before the lifts even load. THAT would be a statement.
I dare you.

It's running a fine line. That's why I seperated being respectfull of service people and my actual views on the current Iraq conflict. One is geopolitical, while respect is common sense.

Not to stray off topic, but yeah. Remember the USSR was part of the allied forces of WWII. There is quite a bit of disconnect between the countries making the Allies and those that signed into NATO.

I'm for Peace...I wouldn't risk my life for a war I didn't believe in. The War in Iraq is becoming as pointless as Vietnam...bring the soldiers home..You should rent Fahreinheit 9/11 sometime..I have alot less respect for the military when I see how they try to entice 17 and 18 year olds in poor neighborhoods to join..shame on them..

Yea I will believe a "documentary" made by that dumb ass Michael Moore. That is not true. It is a total 1 sided view point. (I am sure there are similar extreme 1 sided movies and such from the other side, just not known to me)

You need to learn some respect on here, and I am sure in life as well.

You have a severe case of diarrhea of the mouth!

I am done with this. Back to Oldsnowborderme's thread.

(Hope I didnt make this at all political)

Umm, steezy, you're both being insulting and political....the latter of which is not allowed here.

I'm against trigger happy soldiers who just want to kill people, rape the innocent, and blow shit up...but if they join the military to help out and get a free education..good for them..For me personally being in the Army would be worse than jail...because I hate being told what to do...that's it for my rant...

Snowboarders are allowed at all but a few ski areas..I really think Martin Luther King would roll in his grave if he saw that his name was being used in reference to equal rights among snowboarders..lol

I think this thread needs to be locked. BTW, if you liked Fahrenheit 911, I'd suggest you rent Fahrenhype 911. Many of the same people who were in Fahrenheit 911 are in this saying what they really meant to say, not what the 'clever' editting produced.

Please lock it.. I can't bear the hijacking anymore. My point has been made and demonstrated. I would like to call some of the comments made so far as being "stupid" but to say that would imply the individual making such comments actually had a functioning reasoning center. This isn't what I envision when I started this thread ... I never intended to equate civil rights, diversity, MLK Day with snowboarders "rights".

Bet you didn't figure on the Iraq/Michael Moore tangent, either.
