Mount Snow

At Mount Snow, there are two seeded bump runs as you come down Lower Exhibiton, also Beartrap is open and is beginning to bump up. I was there Saturday 2/3, the first day for Beartrap and the bumps were scattered, small and soft, which was perfect for me.

Some pretty good bumps on Fallen Timbers too. Full of obnoxious line poachers and other assorted idiots though. Then again, it is Mount Snow.

Appalacian on the East side of Shawnee Peak had some nice moguls on it yesterday. Also, upper and lower Haggets, the vain, and the T line all were left to bump up since the storm. A lot of fun.

Belleayre has got them in droves. place is in the best condition I have seen it in years. Packed powder top to bottom. Figured I'd give it a shout out for those interested. Plattekill is doing great as well, lots of bumps.

minus 'seeding' and a significant snowmaking commitment to the trail, I have a hard time imagining anywhere in the Northeast having a trail with decent bumps at the moment.

BELLEAYRE! Almost all the top runs are steep moguls and some of the middle runs. And these are nice ones, not the slop you usualy see forming. Some pretty good bump skiers inhabit the place. With almost no ice at all they are a dream to ski. I skied every one of them for over 6 hours and I never do that. I can't do well on the icy ones.
Plattekill is also a great place to spend the day. Moguls all over the place, real ones made of real snow. They don't blow much there. Some are half groomed so you can bail if need be. Blockbuster is the steepest and never groomed.
Amd where Hunter got rain they both picked up several inches of pow. I found Hunter to be very hardpacked and icy compared to these two. When Hunter got 4 inches they each got over a foot. And Plattekill just picked up another 6 inches Sunday night!

Interesting post 2knees made in the Sunapee TR:

I was really thinking about this yesterday. when snow conditions blow like they generally do now, what is left for entertainment other then a good seeded run? nothing is going to bump up with the concrete hardpack prevelant throughout new england right now. tree skiing is iffy at best and while i respect those who enjoy bombing groomers and hucking in parks, all areas have those in abundance. Setting up one run isnt that difficult and really gives you something interesting to ski on. I'll be accused of only liking seeded runs and other nonsense, which couldnt be further from the truth, but more areas should do this, especially when conditions are lean. my two cents.

That inspired me to bump this thread. Let's use it to post about current bump runs and their condition.

Temptor at Sundown has bumps, but it hasn't seen snow making since the middle of last week. They lost a snow making pipe that services that trail. I think it was supposed to be fixed last night so if it gets cold and they can dust them some night this week, they should improve. I skied them last on NYD and skier's right was treacherous. Middle was fair and left was the most skiable, although the bumps are more spaced over there.
