All of the previous Olympics, both Winter and summer, have had their share of interesting side stories and unfortunately, tragedies.
Just saw a report on CNBC regarding Bodie Miller and what his success at the games means for him and his sponsors. I glad he has figured out he needs the support of the US Ski Team as much as they need him. In the interview he spoke about how he is grateful for the major sponsors that have stayed with him and the new ones, mostly European, who have recently got on board. He spoke about how his public image effects his relationship with his sponsors which has a big effect on him and his success. IMHO he has come along way since the days when he was having so much trouble getting sponsors that he had a space for rent sign on the front of his helmet.
I think the downhill event, winning the bronze, the top 3 times were the closest in Olympic history, will provide a solid foundation for him to bust out and win some gold. I've become a Bodie Miller fan again.
