So, what new ski areas do you want to visit next season? Cannon and Burke have long been on my to-do list. I also discovered that Gore is likely within 3 hours so I hope to day trip that next season. Whiteface is a possibility as well. You?

The place I most want to hit is Mt Baldy, British Columbia. (Not to be confused with the Mt Baldy in California.) It's close to the US border in the Okanagan region about 4 hours east of Vancouver. It gets fluffy BC interior snow rather than the coastal sludge you see at Whistler. It has one real lift... a 1300 foot vertical double chair. The ski area only operates 4 or 5 days per week. The skiing surface is supposed to be amazing due to the limited traffic.

If there is snow next winter, Mt Whittier (NH) "might" have occasional snowcat skiing. There was talk about them doing it last winter but I doubt they ever got enough snow.

Yeah, either there or "2006-2007 Trips Planned."

At any rate, here's the list again:

Mount Snow
Sugarloaf
Dartmouth Ski Way
Whaleback
Storr's Hill
Balsam's

Yes, but trips planned and trips you want to take are two totally different things. ;)

Here are some new areas I want to go to next season:

-Doublehead CCC Ski Trail

-Tuckerman Ravine and/or Hillman's Highway

-Mad River Glen

-Alta

-Snowbird

-Solitude

-Sugarloaf

-Whiteface

-Stowe

-Sugarbush

Gotta knock the last 2 "major" VT ski areas off my list...Pico & Smuggs. I'd also like to check out some of the smaller ones - Cochrans, Suicide Six, and Quechee to be exact.
Also, if we get to Colorado, I'd like to go to A-Basin and Vail (been to Vail before, but didnt even scratch the surface of the place).

I've been to Jay and Cannon before but it was many years ago and due to a variety of reasons, I was not able to fully check them out to their maximum potential.

I definitely want the cooks tour of Burke with TrailBoss and/or Riverc0il. You two guys should organize a 2007 AZ Outing at Burke so many of us can take advantage of your local knowledge.
