Well although it looks pretty rough, Anf you wouldnt get much speed having to weave through the rocks, The bottom looks nice and Is deffinately worth it. I have a banged up board just for that purpose. Besides, Its wayyyyyyy better than the grass that we have down here that time of year.

remember if you do it and get hurt i didnt tell you to do it because even though it doesnt look that steep, it is incrediably steep, and if you fall in the little patch of snow you would probably slide into the rocks and get seriously hurt or die. I was pretty much just joking around posting that and you really shouldnt do it :D

You can check the progess of a potential opening date at Woodbury by visiting their website at:

www.woodburyskiarea.com

The cam shot shows most of the lower mountain, and the rope tow area to the right of the picture is the area that they blow snow on to open in the early season.

It's good for about 10-15 turns, and it is serviced by the rope tow.

Ga2ski asked Susan D on the River board about opening day.... and she said Nov 11th for them as well. All depends on the weather, but that is the plan. So Friday at K for me Sat and Sun the 12th and 13 at Sunday River is my plan.
