I'm having a heck of a time finding the web presence for Pico. I keep getting bopped over to Killington, but can find very little about Pico from the Killington site. Even a trail map nor directions can be found. I did find a map at snocountry.com, but hey, did Killington just bury the place?

I know it operates, and yeah, duh, I know how to get there. But I am really suprised that there is no info on the web, save for a glancing comment at killington.com. Or maybe I'm just really dense and don't know where to look. An interesting page, picomountain.com appears to represent the area, but it's dated and all the links are broken. Can someone throw me a line? Thanks.

Pico

I remember when Pico was taken over. At the time there was talk of keeping it separate in commercial/marketing terms from Killington. I believe they put in a connecting lift/run a couple of years ago. Can anyone confirm that? And yes, the webpage still does exists at http://www.picomountain.com/, but as said, it is out of date and none of the links work. All very odd.

There's no connect between the areas that I know of. Why would you find it odd that they don't waste their efforts on their website? It's a ski area, alive and well, that bases it's business on outdoor activity.

There has been talk for years about connecting killington and pico, but it has never happened, and doesn't seem like it will any time soon

It's actually a rather long way, isn't it? I was up there skiing the Catamount trail last January. It runs between the ski areas as I remember. You can get lost in that area. It's rather rugged country, too.

When K-Mart is packed and there has been decent natural snow, go to Pico. Very few crowds, really nice cruisers and some cool glades too. It's a really fun place to bomb around.
