This has been my best season yet. I have skied more days then I have in 20 years...18 days so far and thats from Long Island. I have also skied more powder days then I have any other season! Can't wait to try to top it next year.

i'm gonna change my mind. too late. I missed the valentines day storm and the ensuing 3 week period of bliss. my only day in there was the one really crappy day. coral. sugarbush just got another 34 inches over this weekend. I managed to pick the worst day out of a 5 week period.

My worst season EVER.

This has been the best month of skiing I can remember. 3 dumps in a month, 3-5 feet each time. That is rare. The snow this weekend and two weeks ago was perfect powder. The valentines event was also perfect in the sense that it was just what we needed. Never seen it snow that hard or accumulate so fast. Never skiied snow that deep. Almost snow bound on the notch road. Since then I have had the best runs of my life. Every year I know the hill a little better and my runs are more and more flowy top to bottom. That is as important as conditions.
For me, Conditions, knowledge and ability really came together this season on tele gear. I will never forget 06-07 for those reasons. Breakthru year with THE MOST EPIC month anyone up here can remember since the big year (and I could hardly ski in 01-02).

A great mini-season within what started as an epically poor season.

Since the Valentine's day blizzard it has been awesome.

And this March may be an all-time best for me...8 days skied so far, 6 legit fresh powder days (5 in the MRV and this past Sat at Hunter) and one with many sloppy seconds (yesterday at Hunter).

BTW, my birthday was 3/12 and this past weekend's storm must have been my birthday present...I was wishing for it.

If I end up going to valle nevado in august I think I'll count it to this season and call it the best season ever.

the last storm did it for me, it has been one of the best cycles since 2000-2001, even though it was only feb, and half of march it still set up to be epic. no complaints here. one of the best seasons i have had in years.

this past sunday sealed the deal, best day of the year, possibly best run ever sunday afternoon. It is hard to believe how much snow piled up on sat night through sunday and it was completely blower. It seems every year i have been surprised by the epic quality of a run, three years running i have said best run of my life and every year it just seems to be a little better that the last. it is very hard to believe, but i hope it keeps perpetuating it self.

bring on the snow. we have got one more in us.

This season was too compressed , Only bout 7 weeks at best so my person al count of 16 days was only about 60% of what i normally ski . When I skied it was fine BUT teh season was too damned short

like every other ski year - great

started out in october with early powder days

dryed out in november but still managed laps on man made junk to get the legs going

december brought early powder days with little base, but knowing your mtn and wind deposits payed off greatly, more man made laps and early morning hikes up jay

jan- full on powder delight, backcountry finally kicked in, powder days galore

feb - remember skiing backside of mansfield in 25 inches of blower with a few dings on the skis but thinking it was already great - then valentine's day - i say no more

march - early powder with some of the best backcountry snow of the year followed by spring bumps and chutes at jay, then st. patty's day - finished the last of the powder harvest on tuesday, more spring bumps to come

still have all of april and some of may, skied a number of places i wanted to get to (BC) and few we didn't get to, but to be back in the kingdom (after a two year hiatus in N Maine) with my best friends - well, there were plentiful lifelong memories made this year and that is always good

I feel sorry for anyone who feels their skiing season blew -

Definitely not the best season yet, but it redeemed itself in February after a gloomy start. I'm calling it average because we had almost no snow from the time the lifts started turning until late January. I expect thaws and generally erratic weather for December and January but there's usually at least SOME snow somewhere in the mix.

You guys are on crack if you think this was the best season ever, but it certainly turned out to be pretty good considering it sucked hardcore until mid January. For that very fact alone you cant say this season was alll that great. We were skiing grass in mid-January, most of you seem to forget this.
