Agree with all the above sentiment. I cut them off after each, (or at least no more than 3) time.

I let my daughter collect them on her jacket though. At 5 yrs old, its still "cute."

I clip them off at the end of each day. I try to live/ski each day as it comes. The past is the past.... and I'm trying to forget the early days of yard sales and embarrassing spills. ;-)

i don't save tickets, they just remind me how much money i spend on them each season

riverc0il, I'm surprised you don't buy a season pass somewhere, it's much cheaper if you ski every weekend.

When I was in my twenty's, maybe early thirties, I used to stack them over each other, to show how many times I went each season(or more likely to show off). Then at the end of the season or the beginning of the next season I'd try removing them and found out what a pain in a$$ if was and stopped stacking them. Now I get a ACS season pass and hide it when I'm not using it so I don't either lose it or someone try to steal it. (I don't know if anyone really would, but just in case)

I wash my stuff..
Aside from the asthetics - it helps preserve waterproof properties by getting all the dirt out of the system..

I tend to let a few build up just out of lazyness. I did clip them all this weekend because I noticed everytime my ticket was getting checked it kept going behind others and becoming a pain.

makes sense. But what would skiadikt have been the past few years without that dirty ratty yellow jacket he was wearing? That thing ruled!!! Too bad he got rid of it (I think maybe it fell apart)

Mine build a little bit- I find that once the stack is 3-4 thick I can slide it into my pocket easier, so it doesn't flap in the breeze. With just one on, it tends to fold and tear.

I hate it when I wear one of my jackets not skiing, though, and that tag flaps around.

That's why I put mine on my ski pants. I don't usually wear those around town.

Come on, you know ski pants around town is a high-fashion statement!

I don't often wear my main shell around town either, but the softshell works well for wandering around.

I actually do wear my ski pants out to eat occasionally on the way back from a day trip. I've earned the nick name "Nylon Man" in more than one establishment... perhaps not something to brag about.

I still collect all my lift tickets on my jacket. It's one of my guilty pleasures. A friend of mine is so annoyed whenever she sees my ski jacket and has to keep reminding me that only little kids do this. Since she's not one of my favorite people on the planet, keeping my lift tickets is my way of getting under her skin and driving her insane.

My jacket has one of those tabs near the right hand pocket where you can hook your tickets so I use that. To prevent the ticket collection from flapping in the wind when I ski or so I don't look like too much of a show-off on the T, I usually tuck in the old tickets into the pocket and zip it closed except the one I am currently using. My ski pass also goes on this hook but since that has my name and picture, I usually tuck that into the pocket also.

Why do I keep the tickets? Perhaps it's a great reminder of all the good skiing days I had during that season (also reminds me how much money I've spent).

At the end of the season, I use a wire cutter and break-off the wire and plastic ticket holders so I don't have to rip the ticket. The tickets go into my ski memorabilia collection along with trail maps and ski area stickers.

Wearing around old ski tickets is dorky. If you're over 5 years old there's no excuse for it. And it shouldn't have taken 4 pages of discussion to reach this conclusion.

I also have a large collection of lift tickets, some better than 20 years old, as well as brochures, trails maps and news letters. My wife cannot stand the fact that I collect all of that "junk" and she would like nothing more than to burn it all in the fireplace.

As for lift tickets on my ski suit, two or three is usually my limit, after that they get cut off. It also slows down the process of getting on the lift when the lift attendant has to comb through multiple tickets to find the current one.

I wear my pants apres-ski but I'm talking about on a regular day. If it's snowing I wear my shell - not the case with my ski pants.

I do wear an old pair of ski pants when walking the dog if I have to slog through a foot or so of snow. Otherwise my socks get wet, and then I get grumpy.

You wouldn't like me when I'm grumpy.
