Lot of strong opinions on this. I thought I was just lazy, but now I know I'm actually a dork. Thank you.

I don't see how it's dorky to have more than 1 on there. I don't think anyone standing more than 3 feet away from me could tell there was more than 1. Right now I have a Sunapee sticker that completely covers 2 Crotched and 1 Pat's stickers. Each of those stickers completely covers the one below it. I guess if you stagger them so all the names are visible, that is dorky, but what's the prob. with just sticking a new one over the old one?

What I do think is dorky is the plastic tie kind staying on the jacket and flapping all over the place. That seems showy to me. The one I got at Bretton Woods last week came off when I got to the car to leave.

The tickets that tend to survive are spring skiing tickets where I attach the ticket bale to the zipper tab of a fleece vest and then stuff the day ticket into the vest pocket and zip it shut so I don't lose it.

Here's one that survived quite a few months:

Saw this guy at Elk yesterday. The tickets on the right are on his lower pants zipper. There are some on the left zipper as well. One looked like it was actually on his boot as the top buckle was undone.
Think he wears his pants apres ski?
Hey marc, that isn't you is it?

Not what I was talkin' about. nothing dorky about that. staggering is dork and festooning your jacket with various tickets is dork. C'mon, we all know this is a dork move.

I have one from Blandford. I like it because it was 12 dollars.

Blandford was cool, not a big place, but friendly people and my son had fun. I could have made a really annoying chain with all of my tickets:

Ticket chains and multiple wickets is one of my pet peeves. Clip the friggin things! I personally dont care if you went to Jackson Hole in 2002 or skied Loon 20 times. It was said earlier in this thread, lifties dont want to fumble through multiple wickets and I dont want to wait for you while they do it. Clip em and save em.

When I was at Jackson Hole two weeks ago, I rarely made it up the gondola without someone in the car commenting on my MRG ticket. that place has a reputation far and wide. it was cool to see so many jackson skiers hold a vermont area in such high regard.

a high percentage of jh'ers are from vt, nh, me, ny, and ma!

i overlap and try to cover the old one completely.

my daughter has tics on her coat from valentines week. the coat has been washed 3x since then and they look pretty scrappy. she doesn't want me to take them off because whe wants people to know she skis. she's only 7.

Yeah, but for a 7 year old it is ok. For the older crowd, not so much.

depends on your experience level. I remeber my first couple of trips. I was pretty proud and the lift ticket was a way to show it off. it gave my ski jacket distinction from the rest. as I have gone on a lot more trips since, it;s lessened in importance. even so, I bet that 7 year old has alot more combined ski days under her belt than some here.

I do have a large collection of pins, patches and stickers from the resorts i have visited though. i don;t where them anywhere though.
