Covid is kicking up again here in Maine. My father has been in hospital since Monday. Deathly ill. my mother has it, my wife has it, and I probably will as my wife and I are caring for my mother who suffers from dementia. Life sucks right now. Don't know when I can ski again.

Man that’s rough. Hoping for the best for your family Terry.

Sorry to hear about your dad Terry.

9:20 and already more vert skied than yesterday. 2 groomers and 2 tree runs so far. Nosedive and Liftline nice and silky. Woods well covered. Flurries off and on. News was saying 12-18" by Wednesday but I think I'm gonna miss most of it.

20k before lunch. I love FourRunner.

Did a few Starr laps this morning as well. Silk confirmed. Liftline was firing even with the dead snowcat.

Liftline was very good when it opened but as usual it got scraped down pretty quickly. They unroped the very far corner entrance of National and honestly as bad as it looked from below it wasn't too bad and was preferable for getting to S-53 compared to Liftline.

9 out of 10 times I prefer sticking to the woods all day, and don't get me wrong they were great today. But it was truly one of those rare days when the nats were skiing even better. Starting to get a bit more bumped now that they've had some traffic but still can't complain. For a day that wasn't a powder day, it doesn't get any better than today. 40k vert, and about 30k of that was nats/woods. Will be tough to wake up tomorrow!

I would upload more pics but this site is a pain in the ass with that now. Feel free to follow me on Instagram @adl6291 and you can find plenty of pics there!

Oh and I've always considered Castlerock or the MRG single the only lifts worthy of this declaration, but I am now officially of the belief that Four Runner is the best lift in the east. Steep pitch top to bottom, no runout, 2k vert in 6 minutes, excellent skiable woods between pretty much every single run, awesome nats, fun blue cruisers, steep groomers. It truly has it all and there's no bullshit to deal with to ski it.

lol thats not news. the forerunner is perhaps the premier lift in the east. its fast and serves 2000 vert of the best terrain in the east including the kitchen wall and the bruce and the front four. it also used to run at 730 am. not sure if still under vail.

i miss stowe. i may have to pony up if i can find a weekday.

are they still involved with ski vt 4 pack?

I'm pretty sure they are...last time I was here I used that (but that was 6 years ago).

Not sure if it runs at 730 on weekends but 8am on weekdays is still pretty awesome when pretty much everyone else doesn't open till 9.

i had the same issue but then figured out that on an iPhone you click attach file > photo library > select your pics > click the slider icon at the bottom right and set the image size to medium, and you are good to go. there may be a way to set that as the default. not sure

1000% agree, for all the reasons mentioned and more ... direct downhill access to your car, top & bottom restrooms (good for older guys!), ability to inspect naturals before committing, scout gondola terrain, etc.

The Bench is a fav but check out Hen of the Wood in Waterbury when you get a chance, if you haven't been. Great bar and even better kitchen... closed Tuesdays.
