I just took Monday off from work but still sitting here anxiously waiting for Stowe to update the trail report. They were talking about snowmaking on the front four and haychute earlier in the week. I assume they'll be open sometime today?

Commodore is booked btw!

Nice pics!

Since Vail is never going to bother updating the ski report, are the woods on the front accessible? Goat woods, Tres Amigos, S-53, etc.
Yep. All good. Just have to be cautious as depth varies with exposures after a week oft wind.

Now the Commodore sent me a message about how "there are no COVID restrictions at this time but our game room is closed and we no longer offer breakfast"

Like...what fucking year is it? We're still doing this?

Report says Liftline opens tomorrow so hopefully that means easy access to Goat Woods, etc.

I've been bitching about my decision to switch to Epic pretty much the entire winter so far, but I'm pumped to take advantage of skiing Stowe a ton this winter. I've only been once since high school, very excited to get many more days there in the next few months. Looking forward to some exploration. Last time I was there I lapped Goat Woods, S-53, and Tres Amigos for 8 straight hours and kind of forgot to go check out other parts of the resort lol.

Tres from Hayride was very good as bbrk mentioned. Haychute & Liftline will get a final buff tonight to open. Centerline & Hayride were great today.

Goat & Goat Woods may be scoured as the wind was out of the N-NW and hitting them directly.

I'd check out southern exposures off the Gondola or Sensation. Both were closed this morning so I couldn't get into the usual spots off Chin Clip or Perry.

Covid is kicking up again here in Maine. My father has been in hospital since Monday. Deathly ill. my mother has it, my wife has it, and I probably will as my wife and I are caring for my mother who suffers from dementia. Life sucks right now. Don't know when I can ski again.

Sorry to hear this Terry. They're lucky to have you and your wife supporting them.

I can relate. My mother has Alzheimer's, though my parents are still down in Florida where they've been retired for the past 23 years. My brother and I have tried to convince them to come back North so we can help my dad with Mom's care, but he's too stubborn. We're confronting this much earlier in life than expected. Mom was diagnosed three years ago at only 75. Such a horrible disease. It's tough because we only see them about every 4 months and there's always such a big change in mom each time we see them.

Best wishes to you and your family. Hope you can get back on the slopes soon.

Thanks. We are managing the best we can. Have moved into my parents house for now so as to not upset moms routine as much as possible
