I wasn't talking about parking there. Try booking a room at the Lodge now, the prices have doubled over the last couple of seasons. Even a mid-week booking is very expensive.
I can't justify staying there M-F anymore. Super convenient but stupid expensive for solo travel, most trips. Now have a couple of condos near town that I'll rent for half the price. No ski valet or roll out of bed and onto the lifts, but no complaints saving $'s each trip either!

Great day. Frosty empty slopes. Tons of vert and not as bitter cold as expected, as there was minimal wind. 3-8 forcast for tonight... Slug effect in play!

Agreed. I love Stowe but weather in VT is too inconsistent to pay the current ski on ski off prices. Even Hyatt point redemptions are extremely inflated at Spruce Peak.

I noticed that the Claybrook at Sugarbush had a standard room over MLK weekend going for more than 1k a night which may be even worse than what a standard room at the Lodge at Spruce Peak costs over the same weekend. The Killington Grand is priced around these levels as well and isn't nearly as nice as Spruce Peak or the Claybrook.

We are staying in Teton Village over President's Week for substantially less than what the Lodge at Spruce Peak or the Claybrook would cost (including plane tickets) during the same timeframe. I priced out standard rooms at both places and each cost around 7.5k for six nights which is crazy and why we've been skiing out west a lot more instead.

I took the savings on lodging for this trip and picked up new boots yesterday. Demo'ing new skis today... may have to change my user name.

Wind is whipping and frequent mjni white outs, but no effect on the Six. Thing's a beast.

Great day. Lots of snow blown in the easy to access glades and skiers left on trails. All glades listed as closed on the report is only a suggestion. Not many out today. Look forward to Hayride reopening tomorrow t2b.
