The Semi-Annual "Where Should Trailboss Ski" Thread

OK, I've got plans to ski on Sunday, but tomorrow is open. So I need some input as to where to go.

Burke: Have a pass and tomorrow is Big Air Day.
Cannon: Passholder. May be at Loon on Sunday.
Stowe: Have a "Ski Anywhere" Card that is accepted here...was going to go with Ms. TB, but she is not here this weekend and I have two more cards, one of which will expire in July. I hear that Stowe has the snow and terrain. Never been.
Stratton: Have a freebie here as well. Never been.
Sunapee: Close option. Easy in and out.
Pats Peak: Have one free ticket that has to be used....

So input? Anyone been to these places lately?

My choices:
1. Stowe - They've been getting snow for the past few days. I have a feeling it's being blown around a lot though, so the woods should be awesome. Since you've never been....go for it. You'll love it.
2. Stratton - Free ticket...hard to pass up. Maybe use that next weekend if you can.

Go to Stowe...they've had an amazing season.

I should've stuck to my plan and gone up that way as well...too late for me at this point.

I agree with the Stowe choice. I would stay away from Stratton this weekend because they're hosting the US Open Snowboarding Championships and it will be a zoo there with all the crowds of spectators (and skiers also). I've also heard they've closed off a lot of runs to the general public so they can be used for the competition. Stratton would be better next weekend.

Hit Stowe and let us know what you think. I've never been there either and can't wait to try it (when I can afford to go)!

Go to Stowe! I've got two free passes to Snow so that's where I'm going but if not for that I'd be heading up north.

I would say stowe. But IMO you have to know where to go. I went to stowe last year for my first time and was not impressed with there inbounds terrian. But from what I heard it is so easy to find unmarked glades it shouldnt be a problem though.

why are you even asking, lol :lol: out of your list, they are the only mountain that will have powder and most of their terrain open. not too mention, they have better terrain than all those mountains. free ticket? then there is no question nor doubt.
