I was expecting to read about Roark and Tree_skier. Unfortunately I was awitness to T_S asking Roark for a "pull" and "tug" a couple nights after racing. He claims it had something to do with helping get his GS suit off. That enough info for me.

Speaking of AZ racing, BobR should be talking about his inimate encounters with the snowmaking pipes at Pat's.

No intention in invalidate your feeling, but I personally have known more women that have *wandered* than men.
Interesting because I think the stat on that was 30% ish.

And again, 70% of relationships deal with infidelity. That's what my counselor said, anyway. Stats vary though....

Lovely world we live in these days.

Attitudes definitely change. Infidelity is probably no more rampant now than it was 30 years ago. It's just that 30 years ago, people didn't divorce over it... whereas I read a stat this morning that at least 50% of divorces these days are due to infidelity.

Makes you wonder.... are we really meant anthropologically to stay monogamous to one partner for a lifetime? Or do you think that longer life expectancies have led to an increase in divorces because people realize they'll have to spend a longer life with a partner? Or is it maybe that people today are just plain selfish and only care about #1 instead of giving and taking like you would in a mature relationship?

I'm really interested in views on this... maybe I should make a new thread?

This can quickly devolve into the Mars vs. Venus idea. But I do believe that the anthropological motivations are balanced differently in men and women. But it is a balance of motivations, not a separation of them.

Not the divorce rate itself (because that, I believe, is about 50% for 1st marriages, and 60-65% for 2nd marriages). What I stated was that 50% OF divorces are due to infidelity. Was it the same 30 years ago? Interesting stat... and I'll save the rest of this for the other thread.

Roark is always good for a pull or tug, never thought to ask for a yank though.

BobR's intimate encounter with the pipes had him seeing stars although he in the morning he wished he had used protection.
