And how many several hundreds of Katz memes are included in the thread? Seems that all of the meme posters are really obsessed with Katz to the point of, WOW I should spend an hour to find a really kool new Katz pic??!? Kind of obs/cump my book🥴.

How about switching the meme obsession to the new CEO Kristen Lynch. I would much rather look a pictures of her and she seems to be pushing in the right direction. Not sure how much operational control national has over the N NH resorts, but Crotched and Sunapee are doing the best with what the weather has provided at this point.

For all the complaints Vail is currently dominating the most open terrain in the NE ranking
‎
1) Mount Snow: 287 Acres
2) Okemo: 282 Acres
3) Sunday River: 255 Acres
4) Sugarbush: 240 Acres
5) Killington: 224 Acres

I mean, they generally own a decent number of the bigger resorts, so statisically that is likely to happen.

It's been repeatedly mentioned here that Vail's preferential treatment towards its larger resorts like Mount Snow, Okemo, and Stowe creates a weird imbalance between Epic resorts in the East, often leaving smaller resorts like Wildcat, Attitash, and Sunapee in a disadvantaged position. This comparison of open acreage, while relevant, doesn't capture the full picture of Vail's management focus and its impact on the New England skiing community and why Vail sucks.

I did look at PC's website after I posted and laughed when I saw the whopping 10 words they put in that box compared to the giant narrative Stowe has

Today's real life example of how poor it is:

Debating whether to go skiing or fishing so I check the trail report & notice it skyrocketed by 20 trails over yesterday, so I know they opened some terrain/lifts. But no details on which ones or where is provided! Now I could click on each lift / pod separately to see if I can cobble it together, but I figure they must have given a Social Media update & that'll be much faster. So I go to Facebook, nothing. I go to Twitter, nothing. So back to the website I go guessing that Jupiter is likely one of the newly opened lifts, and sure enough it is, and I manually count up that that accounts for 14 of the 20 newly open trails. I still have no idea what the other 6 newly open trails are. It really shoudlnt be this hard.

Killington is way bigger than Snow and Okemo combined. And it shows how much snow making they are doing as there is no natural cover.
Okay, but all 5 on your list are in the top-10 in the east for skiable acreage. This doesnt surprise me.

Where's Stowe? Probably somewhere #6 to #10 if you extend your list, because it's also one of the top-10 in the east for skiable acreage.

Oh boy. Sounds like someone isn't happy. Please don't tell Nick as I might not get my annual bonus or he might take away my AZ officer's badge. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

In all seriousness, I come here to talk skiing and have fun. That's why we are all here. In the words of DHS, "lighten up, Francis."

I'm sure Stowe, Jay, Sugarloaf and Whiteface all have more skiable terrain than those places just less snow making. Probably Gore too.

Stowe is at 215 acres today.

North, Upper & Lower Gondolier & Sunrise all closed today for recent snowmaking refresh. Should be back online tomorrow or Friday and they'll be back to ~ 248 acres.

Mount snow and Sunday river have new monster systems running, and probably haven’t dimed them yet.
Mount Snow's has been off since roughly mid day yesterday with marginal wet bulb temps. Apparently it's being turned back on tomorrow per their snow report. Should be adding Fools Gold (unless they are going to delay the opening for a full park build 1st as they did with Gulch and Nitro), Little Dipper and Charlie's Chase by the weekend and then the big effort that is South Bowl late weekend/early next week. After that, off the top of my head, they really will only have a couple of trails/parks at Carinthia to open up, a few runs on the main face, and a few runs on the Northface and Beartrap in Sunbrook, and they will have hit all of their snowmaking trails. Their system is impressive with what it can do when Mother Nature is in a cooperative mood

Yup, certainly can't complain about the snowmaking effort at MS. Staff seems extra friendly this year also. They probably sent the grumpy folks to NH.

Amazing! With all of the other crap that gets posted here including your F bomb response to me, it is my lighthearted attempt at sarcasm that warrants a "lighten up"?

So sorry to get your panties in a twist, Francine.
