The snow report thing has been bitched about (by me particularly) on here many times. What extra would it cost them to write a modest written report daily? I’d think nothing. They obviously feel it’s advantageous somehow to not write one. But most, if not all, other ski companies feel the opposite somehow.

You would think they could just get some AI program to write a halfway decent snow report every day.

Aside from the fantastic new quad attitash is as much of a fucking shitstorm as ever from what I can see. We could be skiing so much more right now if they just ran a groomer over trails like moat and grandstand. Also why northwest isn't open is beyond me it's been blown for over a week now. Ptarmigan, idiots, Tim's avenger amongst others will likely not get any snowmaking this year but hey maybe I'm wrong.

I won't hear the vail bought them before covid argument anymore. You have the resources get the fuck to work bringing atticat to the bare minimum.

Wildcat is skiing well I guess thanks to weather. Nit sure why the quad is running 1/2 speed for multiple days. Maybe just hit cannon tomorrow as they have a handle on things

Edit I got stuck on that shiny new quad for a half hour or so. Now it's closed. My second time here this year and both times that chair has had issues.

How about just someone who loves Snow and the mountains. Whoever Writes Jackson Hole’s Snow Reports Is a Snow lover.

Keystone Ski resort snow report.

It should be.
It's a cold morning, windchills at the top of the mtn are currently 26 below. Expect clouds to clear and be mostly sunny with warming temperatures to the single digits. The ungroomed packed snow will be a bit hard backed this morning but expect it to soften up as the day goes along. There are some great groomers off the front. Stay warm as you lap the gondola or head straight to the outback where there's still a couple of feet of untouched powder.

Tomcat chair laps. Low angle trees and trails fun. Steeper stuff tricky. There's alot of snow down actually so rocks and junk aren't the concern so much as frozen concrete. Either way the place is skiing good get some

I read this morning on the vail site that summit quad was running but now it's not. Finally WC gets some snow and the main lift is down. There's nothing on the vail site to explain why. Any info at the mountain ? Wind hold or mechanical? I was planning on Wildcat and Attitash this week but they both look deserted. I'll have to go to VT, I guess.

What's going on at Wildcat and Attitash?

Nuthin, thats what aint goin on. I've been drinkin heavily and it's all because of Vail Resorts. And if the Kitty and Attitrash were open I'd still be drinkin but your booze prices are so friggin high I can only afford 2 or 3 beers at the bar so I wouldn't get as drunk and definitely would not end up in a snow bank.

Wait. Was he selling beer in the parking lot or on the sly in the lodge? And why PBR? Where?

In the Lot. Had a cooler w/ 5-6 cases. $2 each.
Made a killing last year
The price increases at the main base lodge bar my crew goes to for Apres at Mount Snow, finally hit the point (depending on what you get it's in the $11-13 a drink range now) where we just swing by the bar for 1, maybe 2, just to see who else is there and stay for maybe an hour tops (maybe 1/2 to 1/3rd of what we used to do) and then retreat with our coolers to the Mount Snow Ski Club where we all are members to finish our apres socializing.

I've probably spent a 1/3rd of what I typically would have year to date thusfar, and that's even with them bringing back Sunday afternoon live music in the bar, which had been on hiatus since the pre Covid era, and I generally enjoy the bands they have playing each week.

Just waiting for the number crunchers to see that their per tab revenue, and likely the overall bar revenue is down, and that if they listened to their staff onsite, who has been behind the bar for a LONG time in some instances, and hears what us regulars are saying, that say dropping the prices back to $8 to $10 a drink, would likely end up in increased revenues both per tab and overall as folks would stay there longer. Kind of feels like the killed our version of Cheers

May have killed off a few beer drinkers! PBR...Yummmmmy Why does PBR remind me of making love in a canoe? Probably 'cause it's fucking close to water. (stop groaning you wankers)

I'm afraid I'll have to report your friend, the PBR guy to the Grand Poobah of Vail resorts, Robert Katz.

I like capitalism with a large C...er I mean K....yeah that's right I spell it Katzpitalism. And I don't like little cockroaches who encroach on my territory so next week ALL the money that was budgeted for snowmaking and grooming will be spent to install surveillance cameras, hire highly trained security stop loss analysts and armed guards to quell any acts of of small c Katzpitalism on Vail Resorts property.

Any perps apprehended shall be immediately strip searched with full body cavity searches done. All contraband will be confiscated and donated to my fav charity-ME !
