That's gonna' get tougher and tougher given their high debt position, unless the lender is potentially comfortable taking on the collateral in a worst-case scenario. I think we're in the top of the 7th here.
At what inning do they start selling off property?

Vail Resorts Brings In Scabs To Prepare For Possible Park City Ski Patrol Strike

Park City, Utah After what seemed like a de-escalation of sorts of the conflict last week, it seems like tensions are picking up again between Park City ski patrollers and Vail Resorts.

Trying to figure out what Sunapee is up to on the snow report is almost impossible. Half the closed trails show groomed, half the open trails show ungroomed, and the snow report does not mention anything about what will open next.

Thinking about going Wednesday for a few hours but I can't believe they only have 4 top to bottom runs open on the main mountain after all the cold weather we've had.

Poor / confusing snow reports are a feature for Vail, not a bug.

Despite the perfect weekend for terrain expansion, Wildcat and Attitash still have less terrain available combined than Gunstock does. Former snowmaking powerhouse Sunapee has less terrain available too. Crotched is probably the best performing of the NH four. It borders on insanity just how awful Vail's efforts are in New Hampshire.

Not sure it's just a Vail thing. Having much the same issues with our Ikon mountains down here. Just from watching the web cams it seems they are not being as aggressive as they have been in the past. I mean it was 4 this morning and i'm not seeing the mountain under the massive snow making barrage I would expecting especially with the holiday week coming up. Yea and the info on what is going on is not there either.

I see this morning that North Peak Triple opened up. What can you access from it? Total mystery. I see Lynx covered in whales so that's probably not open yet. Maybe Fox Run or Cataract is open and they didn't label them yet? Did they open North Peak just to send everyone down Toboggan Chute? The world may never know.

Still planning on stopping by tomorrow for a couple hours on my way to the inlaws. There's a minimum of 5 top to bottom runs open (and possibly something off North Peak but who knows) so that will be enough entertainment for a couple hours. I'm still kind of hacking 3 weeks after pneumonia so probably can't go ski the good stuff yet anyway.

HEAVENLY chair incident, I realize it may be early and facts loose but could someone research what’s out there and explain to me the likely chain of events and what looks to have happened? I’m not a lift expert.

hmmm I have reservations for North Conway in a couple of weeks and was planning on doing a lot of Wildcat and maybe Attitash. Sounds like I need to start a Plan B. Maybe Killington before they bury the parking lots with resorts unless they're already closed.

Not sure what passes you have but planning a trip to wildcat/attitash has become similar to planning a trip west. Wait until there is natural. Almost every other 1000' vert mountain in northern new england is likely a better choice when relying on man made.

Got a quick 15k in just over 2 hours today. Beautiful afternoon but it's sad how little Sunapee has open right now (and only Lynx looks ready to open).

Kind of did a sweep of the open terrain to start. Hit Fox Run, Wingding, Ledges/Skyway, Blastoff, and Bonanza/Westside/Chipmunk which is pretty much it other than beginner stuff off the Clippership.

Wingding was by far the trail of the day, with much softer snow than anything else on the mountain, the least people on it, and the always wonderful views of Lake Sunapee. Middle part had some slight scratch but the top 3rd and bottom 3rd were terrific. Even though it's a bit shorter and 400 less very, it feels like a more complete run than anything up front due to the consistent pitch and no runout. This is a great cruiser when the mountain isn't too busy.

Ledges/Skyway and Blastoff were pretty much scraped junk top to bottom. Not all that fun. These clearly didn't get any gun love after the rain last week. Bonanza/Chipmunk were decent with a good amount of soft snow, but they went with the laziest and dumbest way to blow them. Instead of covering the middle 2000 feet of Bonanza leading into Chipmunk to make one top to bottom run, about halfway down you get pushed out over to Westside which had the same scraped crap as Skyway. Then you had to go down Toboggan Luge...err...Chute with the masses to get back over to Chipmunk. I just don't understand why they did it like this.

Also on one run I took Beck Brook over to Lower Ridge which was in nice shape, but again why wouldn't they open Ridge top to bottom? It's their most popular trail and the best run for lower intermediates on the mountain. Hasn't seen a gun yet.

It's sad that Wachusett has 7 runs top to bottom and 2 beginner trails open and Sunapee only really has 4 runs open top to bottom and 2 beginner runs (and no park). It's crazy how much Vail fucks over New Hampshire. And Crotched only looks to have 3 while Pats is two trails short of 100%?

Vail really does suck.
