It's an incredibly dishonest company that seemingly thinks its customers are idiots who wont notice their crooked shenanigans.

It would be pretty hilarious if in a day or so, the lifts and trails icons are shifted to the right to appear that nothing is missing.

I wonder how this went down.

Kristen Lynch, "web geek, I want you to remove the terrain icon from the snow report."

Web geek, "But Mrs Lynch, unless I reformat the page, it's gonna look like something is missing."

Mrs Lynch, "just do it unless you want to join the patrol on strike. And clean up your desk! "

It's my turn to face the hellscape. Local kiddie clinics start tomorrow, so no escaping that.
Hopefully most of the tourists are already gone; I'm not in the mood to spend 20+ minutes in ski lines just lapping Saddleback. 😣
Ill be there today...lapping sback for a bit..then head over to iron..then the bubble
Then....out of there...

On the flip side of the coin...

WA skiers demanding action as 'rampant' thefts plague Stevens Pass resort

That's why they make locks.... Reminds me of a Caribbean vacation where we heard someone complaining that someone stole their jewelry... they were on a ground floor and left the patio door open when they went somewhere. Duhhhh

Locks won't defeat bolt cutters but they'll slow things down.

I always keep a lock in my jacket but you’d think a temporary building (tent or whatever) staffed with two or three people on the weekends while charging a minor fee would work out and maybe be profitable. Could be staffing issues though, I used to be a Stevens Pass regular and it’s not near much.

Today was phenomenal. Longest line I waited in was 18 minutes (I timed it) just to get up the mountain on the OBX. Untouched snow, and tons of it everywhere in the woods if you know where to go. I'm thinking it had to be 8" on top of all the other new snow received in the last week or so. Knee deep in drifty areas. But it nuked all day at rates that were definitely > 1 inch per hour.

EPIC app wait time remain completely unreliable. It claimed, "5 minutes" at Red Pine Gondola around 9am, and when I got there it was the longest line I'd seen there in person, hence we went to the bubble. I have no idea how long the gondy wait really was, but I'd have to imagine 30 minutes anyway. Pirates of the Caribbean style.

Nice. I did not go out today as I was not feeling like fighting the traffic. I am glad I did not go as LCC closed at 1pm and only recently reopened. It must have been a mess.

I used to use one of those ski locks with my board. Then a few years ago the combo didn’t work. I asked skier services if they could cut the cable. They cut it with a very small wire snip. What a joke, why bother lol

Because most thieves are opportunistic and if they see a lock theyll grab another pair instead. Or if its a mistake the person will know their skis weren’t locked and grab yours by accident…

The vast majority of ski/board theft I've read about in my life always seems to be opportunistic. Snatch and grab. Not saying tin snips or bolt cutters are unheard of, but I bet the percentage of stolen skis/boards via grab versus cutters is like 95:5.

My son, who left Boston at 6AM today to fly out to SLC to spend the next week with his friend who is a junior at U of U went right up to Alta after arriving and was texting us about knee deep to in places chest deep fluff and the road opened up not too long after last chair apparently. Said it took him and his friend a little over an hour to get back from Alta to the condo his friend lives at just off of the U of U campus
