Saw a video with the crowd chanting “pay your employees!” At pc
"I get paid. That's all that matters!"

It has been 11 days since I went to Sunapee and I would like to note that they have not added a single upper mountain trail to the lineup since I was there.

Absolutely pathetic.

And what has the weather been over the last 11 days!?! If they don't blow snow in this extended window you have a gripe, but after the 45-50 degree temps and rain to end 2024 and start 2025 it shouldn't be a surprise that they haven't expanded.

Pats and Wachusett are 100% open, Gunstock is going to be 100% open aside from glades by midweek. Meanwhile Sunapee and Crotched are barely 50%.

But yeah...it was warm for three days.

And is the water situation the same for all three, likely not, there are plenty of areas that are hamstrung right now from the lack of water, not sure if Sunapee is one of them.

Sunapee's snowmaking has been a complete joke this season, you are correct. They have a big pipe from the lake so water should not be an issue. Nothing about it makes sense, except saving $$$. Crotched has been terrible as well, the reason being they have no water. Even with the cold temps, expansion will be slow at best barring another thaw to refill the pond.

Yeah, CM occasionally does have water issues. Sunapee has a virtually unlimited supply. The excuse is money, not weather or water.

Better than 18% open as Wildcat is 😂

I thought I would have regrets not renewing my epic pass as I ski mostly midweek and the vet pass is a excellent value but that's just hasn't happened yet this season.

I'm drinking my morning coffee. Looks like the park city shitshow is getting some GMA coverage. I think we've found the tipping point. Dump your shares if holding

It should be 100% clear by now that Vail isn't rolling. It would absolutely cripple any seasonal business to pay for full benefits coverage for thousands of seasonal employees. And yes thousands, because if you think Ski Patrol would be the only ones getting it if Vail caves....

This is going to be an impasse (preferable for Vail at this point) or the union is going to cave eventually. They'll say they "won" when they get an extra buck an hour but they will have lost the war.

The union is not asking for year round health benefits.
