3 hours to get out of there...
Yeah….fuck that…Ill passTraffic backed up to alta lot.
Took us 1 hour to go 1/4 mile...another hour to get to snowbird area...then 1 more to get to draper.
Looks like they stopped alta traffic to let snowbird empty out. Total shitshow...cars buried everywhere along the road.
Snowbird has become a fucking zoo.
Zero desire for any of this. Less than zero were it mathematically possible.Traffic backed up to alta lot.

It’s worse when they allow roadside parking at Snowbird. People just cut off traffic to turn around.Yeah….fuck that…Ill pass
They do need to fix the egress from Alta, everyone at snowbird just cuts out at the merge. Youre better off parking at Snowbird, taking the bus to Alta then skiing back to your car at this point
This is the way sadly.Yeah….fuck that…Ill pass

They need paid parking on weekends...and not allow roadside parking. Its creating a mess..a dangerous mess. It’s worse when they allow roadside parking at Snowbird. People just cut off traffic to turn around.
Its fine midweek.Damn, that sounds like Franconia Notch during the eclipse last year.....a once in a lifetime event.
Basically what I'm hearing is that if you want to go to Utah to ski Alta/Bird, don't bother unless you're in slopeside lodging
You know what worked even better? When you had to enter a lottery to even buy an Alta passSitting in the alta lot now..maybe 80 cars.
Snowbird area..maybe 1000.
Something to be said for paid parking and reservations.
It worked for Stowe...like it or not.
And with an alta pass..you get 2 free a week.
The bird could do the same.
When I rolled into town in the 90s it was still lottery. It made working there a good incentive.Must have been many moons ago..

Small pond, high elevation streams refilling that were bone dry this fall and while some liquid precip brought stream levels up for a while, this extended cold snap has likely brought flows to a trickle if that. So yeah, Cat is water starved this year. As much as we want to dump on Vail, not sure anyone would have had much better luck this season operationally there.Snow report says snowmaking is taking a break. Pond is dry. Pond is dry for 5 fucking trails?!
They won’t even consider selling Wildcat. No way in HELL would they sell PCMR! Who wrote the letter? A J. Cumming?Local guy says maybe Park City government should force Vail to divest PCMR.

Time to say bye? - Park Record
From an attempt to usurp the Park City’s name and our brand, to withholding skier/rider numbers and capacity (that would enable the city to make informed decisions about new lifts, parking, and safety restrictions), to long lift lines, to reasonable wages for ski patrollers, Vail Resorts has...www.parkrecord.com
But it won’t. That’s because they want a free gondola and are basking in the light as being the only non-reservation resort in the Cottonwoods.Sitting in the alta lot now..maybe 80 cars.
