The first two times I skied Alta it was dumping so hard that I had no idea where I was on High T whenever I went down it, and then kind of just dropped in wherever. When I finally saw Alta on a sunny day it finally started to make sense to me.

This was me in terms of figuring out how to get to Alf's High Rustler.

Does this mean my family's EPIC passes are going to be 1/2 off next season? It's kind of poorly written. A season-pass per day credit is calculated based on 8 days? WTH does that even mean? I work with math, contracts, and accounting for a living, and I have no idea what this means.

EDIT: It still makes no sense to me, but I'm guessing it will somehow be the "minimum" of 25%. Still, that will probably save me $400 or $500 next season if so for something I had to buy anyway.

Our hope is that these customized credits demonstrate our commitment to you as a valued Pass Holder.

DEIRDRA TRANSLATION TOOL ACTIVATED:

Our hope is that this will prevent the literally hundreds if not thousands of people's comments we've read about switching from EPIC to IKON next year.

For the calculation... EPIC metrics in one of the annual reports show the average pass purchaser skis 8 days. So I'm thinking their calculation is:

EPIC PASS PRICE you paid / 8 days = Your EPIC daily price

(Your EPIC daily price) x (days skied at Park City between DEC 27 and JAN 8 up to a max of 8 days) x 0.5 = Your credit toward a 25/26 pass

or a credit of 25% of your 24/25 EPIC PASS PRICE . . . whichever is greater.

How about some credit for people who would have went, but decided to avoid the mess?

The crazy thing is the only reason we all went was because my daughter's kiddie clinic started. We were intentionally avoiding the mess, but it looks like that one class being scheduled might save us a nice piece of coin as all 3 of us had our EPIC passes scanned that day.
