Give a guy a break! I can't be expected to remember every bit of ski porn I buy. So what if I bought the same one two years in a row? At least I realized that I already own it within a few minutes of watching it... :dunce:

I'm not sure the review from the other site that was referred to was a fair. I think this is the best movie that the Meatheads have put out. It is by far the most professional - the music was the best in my opinion, and the editing was the best. I'll admit that I am biased because I was featured in the movie but I thought the crowd loved the movie at the Burlington Premiere. Same with the Portland Maine premiere. The editing can't be beat and I think that the skiing was just as good. Stacey is at least as good a skier as Joe Morabito. Nothing against Joe, he is a great skier. But I don't think hitting one huge cliff every year means he was the best. I personally think staceys style in Powder is simply more technically sound, more fluid, with a quieter upper body. I was just featured in the Newfoundland Segment because I spent most of my winter in alta. I'm suprised they were able to get the footage they did from that trip. The terrain was some of the best I've skier, the snow was possibly the worst I've ever skied. It was solid Ice (and I spent 9 years ski racing in NH). There was one day that we skied in the lee of a ridge after it snowed 4 inches on to a low angle hill that we got some good turns (the shot of all of us going down chinese downhill style) but the rest of the snow was sketchy. I was more frightened at the top of some of those lines due to the snow conditions than I've ever been in my life (and I ski in big mountain ski competitions out west, where I've never finished outside of the top 15). I'm not saying that to sound like a cocky idiot, i'm just saying it to prove a point. I've been more comfortable dropping a 50 ft cliff in Alta, than just SKIING down some of those lines in newfoundland due to the snow. All in all, it didn't make for great footage because every skier had to hold back a lot.

I think the park skiing is excellent.....and I'm not a park skier. Some of those skier are some of the most progressive in the country....NOT just the east coast. Lil john, ahmet, etc are some of the best in the business period. Anyways, I hope some of you enjoyed the movie. I thought it was excellent and think that many of you will still find the same things you always loved about the meathead films.....good skiing in places you can relate to.

Jeez... any more celebrity around here and I'm gonig to have to go find another board that's more low key. That or streak across the 50 yd line at a Pat's game and turn myself into a celebrity.

This thread is low key. I think. that's why I don't use the TGR thread. It isn't. I'd streak across the 50 yrd line anyways if I was you. Across the 50 yrd line and into the gymnasium..

Nah, the gymnasium thing is from "Old School".

Might have been a cut at TGR, but we all know what TGR is like anyway, so it seems like a fair assessment IMO.

Also, the streaking thing won't work, as the Cameras always cut away when that sort of thing happens. Kind of a shame, really. Some guy ran naked onto the field in the London Giants/Dolphins Game, but they cut away from him and showed the crowd laughing and cracking up. I felt as though by not showing it, I was missing out on the humor. It's like the Fox told a joke that the TV audience couldn't hear, but the crowd in attendance could, and everyone started cracking up but they never let us in on what was so damn funny.

Bastards!

Yeah well, the stadium crowd would see me. And I'm ok with that. Especially with the cheerleaders there and all. They'd probably get to me before the cops anyway, so I think I'm covered.
