Waterville....

Went there for first time last April 1 for the $1 lift ticket deal. Actually heading there this Saturday for first time this year and then back there Sunday 3/30 for GS race daughter is in.

Looking forward to Saturday as when we went last 4/1, coverage got spotty in places as it was right before that dump that occurred later that week.

Just watch the speed limit when you get off the 93 exit and head to Waterville. They pull people over all the time so drive with care and mind the limit. Good piece of advice I got from someone before our first trip there last year and they were right. Radar everywhere!

3 years back I had the threedom and found myself going to Waterville 75% of the time. Loon is just a junk show with people every time Ive been there. Seemed to get skied off after one run. The terrain might be a tad better, but Ive always had an overall better experience at Waterville. Havent been since I had the pass, but I remember getting first tracks down true grit on a 12" pow day. That was pretty sweet.

Wallyworld huh?The high country lift is a waste.They only installed it to get the mountain over 2000 vertical in my opinion.Don't really care for the place.

Even though the place is mostly groomers i kind of like it there. Less people than Loon with with big wide trails and steady fall-line skiing. Sunnyside is fun and pretty steep, the parks are perfect, and there is not one flat run-out. It's a good place to go fast and carve turns. Maybe not a good pick on a powder day.
