Wow, you people have a lot of crap.

I have one pair of pants, jacket, helmet, pair of goggles, pair of socks, pair of long underwear. Actually the only thing I have more than one of are skis, bindings, and undershirts. I guess I also have a pair of liner gloves if you want to count that.

Maybe clean out the closet, keep what you'll actually need and donate the rest to goodwill. I buy stuff, use it till it is total crap, and repeat. Clutter drives me insane, shopping (except when I truly need to) is even worse. Even for ski stuff.

Salomon X-Wing Fury 184 (55 days)
Salomon Xtra Hot 185 (~ 50 days. Still have some life left, from eBay)
Salomon Xtra Hot 185 (~100 days. Dead. Used as rock skis, from eBay)
Salomon Xtra Hot 185 (~ 125 days. Dead to the point of having no camber. Need to put in dumpster)
Volkl Explosiv CMH Logo 190 (~10 incredibly epic big mountain powder days, a SkiVt-L internet group buy)
Volkl Explosiv CMH Logo 180 (With demo bindings. ~20 days. I have friends on powder days)
Atomic Beta-something race stock for beer league night racing

Head World Cup boots with the Head/San Marco silicon injection liners + Hotronics. (~70 days)

2 identical pairs of Scott graphite poles from the late-1990's. 1 pair is really abused and are my spares. The other are fine.

Smith Phenom Turbo goggles with Yellow, RC36, and Sensor Mirror lenses
Smith Turbo goggles with yellow lenses that don't work with my helmet. Bought 'em at Snowbird in 2001 to deal with tram fogging problems on an epic powder day
I have other bargain bin goggles with trashed lenses I should toss in the dumpster

Giro Omen helmet

A black fleece Monashee Powder Adventures hat I've had for a decade
A white with blue snowflake wool headband I've had forever
A couple of wool "Pat's Hats" that date back to the late-1980's

Scott gloves with removable fleece liner
Scott mittens with removable fleece liner. I just bought them at 60%-off.
3 pairs of Mountain Hardwear fleece gloves. 2 pairs I just bought on the internet. The 3rd pair is getting holes in the thumbs.
Unknown brand leather spring gloves I just picked up for $15.00
Several pairs of really abused Grandoe Glove Component System gloves I keep as spares

Several neck gaitors. One has an Alta logo. One has a Whistler logo.

Arc'Teryx hooded orange/red soft shell. The hood fits over my helmet.
A very abused blue Mountain Equipment Coop GoreTex XCR hooded anorak I skied in for 6 years
A very abused orange Mountain Equipment Coop nylon shell I use on spring days
A red Mountain Hardwear nylon shell from 1999
An ancient blue North Face Mountain Lite shell from 1999
A 1990-vintage red Taiga Gore Tex anorak shell

Arc'Teryx black shell pants I bought on eBay last fall. They're already sporting duct tape from skiing in the woods
Arc'Teryx black bib shell pants I bought for half price in April

I have two North Face fleece shells that originally zipped into my 1999 Gore Tex shell. A heavy fleece with armpit zips and a light fleece without. I have another half-dozen "CorporateWear" fleece pullovers, vests, and shells.

I have a bunch of Mountain Equipment Coop polypropolene long sleeve t-shirts, a few Mountain Hardwear heavy zip neck shirts, and a few Mountain Hardwear light zip neck shirts. That stuff is all 10 years old.

I have a pair of lightweight MEC polypro long underwear and a couple of pairs of mountain weight Hot Chillis.

I just bought 5 pairs of SmartWool Ski Ultra Light socks on the internet. They're being discontinued. I have 2 or 3 usable older pairs left.

I also have a vintage 1980's SOS rainbow ski sweater with a sewn-in nylon inner windbreaker layer.

Like a junkie is going to find much of a market for used ski clothing and hard goods....

It would be great if somebody stole my electronic gear. Everything I own is obsolete except for a notebook computer and an $80.00 Canon printer. I doubt a junkie could lift my two big tube TVs.

What if they don't wear socks?

I personally can never have enough unterhosen and socks...

I'll wear the same ski socks two or three days in a row when I put in short 2-3 hour night sessions..but for a full ski day..my socks are shot..

You can never have enough underarmour..I had 4 sets of underarmour for what was supposed to be 8 days of skiing in Jackson Hole..it ended up being 10 days due to flight issues and if it wasn't for a bathtub in the hotel room..they would have walked away..

enough skis that my wife thinks we could use them to build an addition
3 goggles in my bag at a time, usually smith fuse...many more at home (smith, oakley) and I've given away at least a dozen to friends
enough long underwear/socks to go on a week trip without wearing the same stuff twice
2 pair of Marmot pants...more jackets
3 pair of poles...Scott WC SL, Leki WC trigger, Leki trigger Vario
Smith Holt helmet, Giro G10
I was a hardgoods/eyewear buyer, got plenty of ski stuff and accessories, but no other quivers to speak of...no impressive electronics, one 12yr old hardtail bike...still have an extensive rugby kit but hung up the boots 6 years ago

After five years of relative gear inactivity, I splurged quite a bit this past winter. My guess is I'll go into gear hibernation again for a few years as I've gotten all I really need

my current line up

Skis that will be used:
Rossi Axiom, B2's and Bx's

Boots:

New Dalbellos if I can get them to fit right :???:
5 year old Dolomites

Poles:

Black Scotts, about three years old

Jacket:

Columbia - 5 years old
Pants - black, don't know the brand, 8 years old, might get replaced

Gloves:

Black Kombis, two seasons old, will get replaced

Goggles:

1 pair, think they're Oakleys

Helmet

Marker, new last season

Undergear? one pair of long johns
Socks? whatever's on my feet seems to work; normal tennis socks

I do have a bunch of old skis that I no longer use and a small stash of gaper clothing for a fun spring day sometime.
