April you will have Loon to yourself. Most of the regulars still are around. The day skiers are done usually by then. Cannon usually makes it to the 1st weekend in April.

I'll help you with a ski shop if you need it. There are a bunch of them. Ski Fanatics is the place to go exit 28 off 93 near my place. 20 min south of Loon. Brewpub... Woodstock station probably in woodstock 10 min away.

Which Mt. ?

Frankly, I get bored when I spend more than two or three days in a row at the same mountain. I tend to spread my ski days out over as many different mountains as possible. In a given season I usually ski three or four mountains out west (usually around Salt Lake but sometimes in CO. Here in the east, I ski either Killington or Snow the most (I can't beat that ASC Bronze Pass anywhere else), then I get a few days in at Pico, Jiminy, Hunter, Bellayre, or Windham. Last season I had a two day package at Jay also, but due to cold and high winds they wouldn't open the mountain on the first day, so we bailed (and got most of our money back) I have not recently gone further north, but I have also skied Sunday River, and Loon in past years.

125 ski days a year at Sugarloaf is impressive. Do you work there or are you retired?

With the spike in gas prices I may have to limit my trips to my "home" mountain, Jay Peak. I estimate about $85 for a round trip journey. Looks like I'll be getting a Cannon pass this year.

On the same note, SnowSprite brought up a good point on KillingtonZone. With gas going up the way it is, we can expect shorter lift lines.

I probably spend around 50 days and nights at Shawnee Peak each season as it is just 10 minutes from work, and 15 from home.

Year's past its been Stowe. This year it will more than likely be Smuggs. If you don't live in Stowe and work for a company that belongs to the chamber, it is a very expensive place to ski.

I'm hoping to spread it around this year and ski Smuggs, Stowe, Mt Ellen, MRG, Jay, Bolton and Burke. and if I'm a lucky and time affords, head to Sugarloaf for Reggae weekend.
