I'm about to go back from Whistler Blackcomb, it was a great ski trip. What mountains do you recommend for skiing in March in the Northeast?

I think Saddleback looks nice, but are there any better mountains? I want a mountain that's in good condition, but is challenging enough that I won't wish too much that I was back in Whistler.

That depends

early month, yes anywhere

late month, depends on what you're looking for. If you want a better chance of spring corn, Killington on south is where you'll want to go. If you're still hoping for more wintery conditions, go north.

As a general rule, I always say that from round about February 20th until March 20th is the best part of the season in the East.

In March, I would recommend Saddleback. As deadhead says, this is your best bet for powder and wintery condidtions. And the terrain is as good as anywhere. If you like advanced terrain, check it out. Great natural snow trails and glades....Plus very little crowds so snow quality is among the best....
