I'm flying in Tuesday and staying with a friend in Denver. Heading up to Vail on Wednesday plan on skiing Loveland on the way up. My Denver buddy and another friend will be up later Wednesday we'll all ski Vail Thursday/Friday. They are both not skiing Sat. I need to be back in Denver Sat night. What should I hit on Saturday? A-basin, Copper, other options not too far out of the way?

Abay. Recent updates over on sugarloaftoday.com were posted. Longtime sugarloafer who ran King Pine for ten years moved out there again this year to run some lifts. If you pm him maybe he'll show you around. He's a great guy and has hooked up many a sugarloafer this year from what I have heard. Have fun. Dont listen to the BS about poor conditions this year. Its still skiing and its Colorado. Enjoy.

A-basin. The basin is to CO what Wildcat is to NH. Hard to beat spring skiing and parking lot beach party.

When I worked at Copper we spent our spring days '"space'n at the basin"

I think you should hustle back to Denver and spend your day at the 16th Street pedestrian mall. Make sure you post a TR.

I would say Abasin too, even though they have not had the snow like others. There will be a lot of lines that are not skiable, but still should be good. Copper will be quicker to get back to Denver though. Sending you a PM for a favor.

FYI - Stop by Wilderness Sports in Dillon or Frisco. They have Ski Logik skis in stock. At a great price. But you will not believe how well this skis look in person.

I've been to A-basin a few times. Copper once in the mid-90's and remember it being pretty good. Might be a last minute call, but leaning towards A-basin right now.

Copper of today is nothing like the Copper of the mid-90s. If you haven't been there in that long, it might be worth pulling in just to see the difference.

My first instinct would be A-basin.My buddy just left today so we have been watching the weather all week. They had many days this week in the 50's so I might even think about Breckenridge for the high altitude on Peak 8.Close to 13,000ft.Don't think you can wrong at any Summit Co areas.

I would play it by ear. Sunny warm day then defiintely a basin, If its dumping then maybe Copper. I would personally do a basin when you get there and LL on the way to the airport as its a Saturday and you would skip the tunnel and the epic pass crowds.

just got back from colorado, go high altitude. warm, warm days- frozen runs in morning, good from 11 to 2pm then slush' does look like you might get a storm heading that way and the warm weather might be a mute point. hope you get the dump!!

My Denver buddy just emailed me that they are getting snow Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. I was just thinking Loveland got less traffic so it might be less tracked out on Wednesday.
