Crotched has 100% night skiing? I did not realize that...

EDIT: just checked HERE and sure enough, they say 100%!

Wachusett, mainly because it's 20 min from my house. But they are nearly 100% lit and once the after school programs leave there are no lift lines. Oh , and the groomers come out and hit the whole mountain at 5 pm. I only wish they had a decent bump run.

I only night ski at Sundown. Good bumps and proximity are the reason why.

I've only nite skied at 2 places - Jiminy and West. Jiminy is pretty good, West not so much. Brodie too when they where open.

Is West the place you can see from I-87 in the Lake George area? I just noticed that place this past weekend when I dropped my children off at summer camp on Lake George. I thought the only ski area within close distance of Lake George was Gore. It surprised me to see that ski mountain so close on the horizon.

You where probably looking at Hickory Hill which is no longer in opporation. You can see West from 87, but it's in Glens Falls, Exit 18. Come to think of it Lake George exits start at 20 so maybe it was West you are referring to.

Don't forget Berkshire East...one of the largest night skiing facilities in the north east

U serious? They have 6 runs lit. Jiminy has twice that...real runs too. The Beast is not known for its night skiing and they are only open 4 nights a week....

Stowe has perhaps the best night skiing facilities in the East. The only 2k night skiing and a Gondola to boot with some excellent cruising terrain.

Let me get this straight, In your world, Mont Ste. Anne isn't in the East?? I guess a night skiing operation of 2 trails open 9 nights a year with one lift is also far superior to 17 x 2050 vert foot trails (groomed by 10 BR's before night skiing) serviced by a gondola, a high speed bubble quad, numerous fixed grips and a magic carpet (which operate over 100 nights a year) in your world as well??! Interesting world you live in. :smash:

Wow, who knew that the world "perhaps" really means "I know for a fact" But hey, welcome to AZ snowman, looking forward to more of your sarcasm in the future! :D

If you go by acreage, its just about the same...if you do trail counts, B-East comes in around 20, I forget what Jiminy comes in at. B-East has all abilities open from the summit, including a 2.5 mile novice run. B-East certainly is known for its night skiing - in fact many of the skier visits come after 3-4:00.

I suspect it was West. You have a very clear view of West from the Northway. I don't believe you can see Hickory from the Northway.

Big Chief, Flying Cloud, Competition, Exhibition, War Dance and Outback/Roundabout are lit. 6 trails real trails. I don't count intersections. You can go to the Jiminy site and get their night trail info, it is higher both mileage and acreage wise. As much as I prefer the Beast over Jiminy on many accounts, anyone who has done any amount of skiing at either area can attest to this. There are a good number of skiers at night that come over from Greenfield after school and on the weekends, but it doesn't exactly make the place famous for night skiing!
