Today was a great day at Smuggs. Nice warm weather and soft snow. Really lacking in bumps though. That was probably my last time there for the year.

Pond skimming at the Bush tomorrow

Jay on Sunday

The weather is not bad here right now - 55 and partly cloudy. The firecast is now only calling for showers and thunderstorms as the fron passes this afternoon. Anyone that went out today is probably psyched. Tomorrow looks fantastic with sun and temps in the 50's. I noticed several of you are hitting Jiminy. Feel free to say hello.

The 'firecast' eh?

Word has it that it is raining up north at Burke. Glad I did not go today.

Well...with how dry it's been here, firecast is probably more applicable...

morning at MRG was absolutely FANTASTIC. sun was kinda out, nice and warm, wonderful skiing, just an incredible morning for april fools day at mad river glen. right about 1PM, nature mad us the fools though, as i was riding the single near the unload station i felt a drop of rain and said "uh oh...." by the time i got to unload, i was completely soaked right through the jacket, it just dumped instantly with no warning. but what ever. hit paradise for the last run and was hooting and hollering and laughing the whole way down even with the rediculously thin coverage. most technical (and most wet!) skiing i have done all year and i loved every minute of it. great morning to be on the slopes today! though a bad afternoon to be out there for sure!

Just back from finally gettting around to using my Stratton free-bee today.

The Mounain suspended ops for about 45 minutes around 11:30 as the front passed thru (wind and lightning??) I didnt see any lightning, but who knows...once they restarted the place was dead - didnt stand in a line once, let alone barely see anyone else - just the way I like it.

Snow was soft and melting fast..:(...but made me remember how much I enjoy spring riding!!!!

I skied Attitash today. When we got there, it was sprinkling. Did a couple of runs and all of a sudden the sun popped out. It was a welcome surprise. It warmed up and we stripped down, and the snow was awesome. The coverage was ok on most trails considering the date and lack of natural snow. Skied till about 1 o'clock and called it a day. By the time that we got home, it started to rain again. I didn't put on any sunscreen because I wasn't expecting sun, so I have a bit of a sunburn. Worth it though! Looking forward to Bretton Woods tomorrow. Lots of sunshine predicted! today made day 70 for me! I made my goal and will get a few more besides!

I skied Belleayre today and the morning was great groomed corn snow. The ungroomed snow and moguls never really did get very soft. I had a great day until I hit a rock and skied into a tree and banged up my head fairly badly.

Time for a helmet, even though it took 24 years to realize it:smash:

Consider yourself lucky. Saved my wife's life out in Chaminox and mine in the lodge when I took a back fall on some water. Sucks to wear when it's hot out though.
