The show....what a disappointment, so much so we left at intermission, grabbed our Gore and Jiminy voucher before exiting...what happened to the "warrenmillerness" of the show??
IMO It's gone man. Half the fun of a WM was his cheap-shots commentary. I still watch the old stuff. Now, he limits his work to writing reminisces about the winter spent living in a car in Sun Valley. The first time it was interesting, the second time it was quaint. Now, after the 24th time, it's old. The son doesn't have what dad did. Seems the only reason to go to the show now is for the free vouchers. As the cops like to say, "Move on, there's nothing to see here."
There is a vacuum in the ski flicks business right now - Meatheads has too much urban and WM is well, um, old. TGR is a bit too edgy for me. Sorry to be a stick in the mud on this one.
You need to stop watching skiing and get on out there. It's real good. You Know Who was asking for you over the weekend!!!

Which show did you see? Just wondering.................
Indeed, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I digress. I'm speaking more of a general trend. Find an older WM movie and compare it against W intervention and then draw your own conclusion. All I'm saying is that is used to be "better" (which means more to my liking.)OK, just thought the thread was about Wintervention.
I'm not a ski movie buff myself and have seen very few. Thought Wintervention was entertaining when I went in Worcester.
I really miss the parts with people falling down when getting off the lift.
