Looking at the webcam right now, it's pretty silly that they will call that "open".

Tough crowd...everyone is stoked to see someone open, and then when someone does there's nothing but criticism. Sheesh!

Other than the resort in NC, Woodbury is actually open. Who else in NE can say that?

The owner really does care about skiing, why else would he even bother. Temperatures last night where very marginal for snowmaking, but should improve in the next two nights. I plan to be there on sunday with my son, if anyone wants to meet up I would be pleased to meet you.

The perennial debate. I don't know much about the NC area, but the 100' of vertical offered by Woodbury is nowhere near what Killington, Hunter, SR, et. al could offer upon opening. But you're right, none of them are open right now.

Looks a little better than it did a few hours ago. They must have moved some snow around, or made some.

This is pretty funny on a lot of levels...

But hey... If someone goes and enjoys themselves... Who am I too judge...?

It's not much for skiing when they open but the snowboarders seem to be having a good time. I usually go over there when they first open and watch the boarders for awhile and through a few snow balls at my daughter.

It looks like a redneck's front yard

The guy who runs the place, Rod, is an interesting character. He seems like a very lad back guy and it looks like he takes the same approach with his ski area.
