Eh. It just seems worse because there are more personalities posting and a few personalities took some things too far. There are actually a lot of really good conversations going on if you just skip over the junk. I don't think so much that summer brings out the worst but rather that winter brings out the best. We all can do very uncharacteristic things behind a monitor and keyboard if provoked enough. Just a little more provocation than usual but I certainly wouldn't say it is any worse than usual except for some stand outs.

Well said.

Then again, I try to bow out of threads when they get ugly and entirely skip the mud racking threads so maybe I am just not seeing it.

I have official changed my mind. Some of you guys need to ski REALLY FRIGGIN BAD.

yeah those few threads where we debated/argue moderation really ruined the summer :)

There were a ton of great threads this summer... Why take away that from the people that participated?

You guys see negative so much more then positive...

The problem with discussion groups is that everyone's voice is just as loud, so it doesn't take much to dominate a discussion, good or bad. Learning how to ignore is an essential skill.

For me, I only get cranky when it rains during snow season. At least that's what I remember since I bumped my head :)

Carefull Riv---bumpin old threads is trolling :)

Not when the post is less than a month old, very much still relevant, and the bump was not meant as an underhanded slam against the forum moderators. I know you meant your post with a dose of humor, but it really is not funny when grown adults act like children. Really quite sad to be honest. It "is only the internet"--but it is also human nature. I know it to be true, I just hate to be reminded of it everytime I search the internets for skiing information and communications. $0.02.
