nice photos roark

overall, still pretty lame that there's not at least one epic TR. The suckers like me who don't have the ability to 'call in' on powder days deserve more stoke!

no TRs, I can barely walk; I just stumbled in an hour ago. You think I could figure out how to manipulate an MMC card? No way. Off to noddsville; I've got a ton of pics on my crappy cell camera to download tomorrow AM.

What are you doing home? There is still serious pow to slay out there. $69 rooms at Motel in the Meadow, up the road from Magic in Chester.

Remind me to tell you about he re-purposed full-sized school bus that slid sideways down the road in front of Magic and got wedged front and back against two snowpiles. they had to use the Magic groomer plow to clear the road. No $#1t. They turned people away from Stratton 'cause they couldn't make it up the access road; it was bumper-car heaven over there. Rte 11 out of Magic was interesting too - imagine severe frost heaves coated with about 4" of snow. Can you say "weeeee!" ??
It has been one freakin long day. Thank you Magic. Now I want to hear more about other resorts!

One more thing, the snow was so incredible, nobody really wanted to stop to take pics.

I figure as much. A long day of hard skiing, too busy to take pictures. Followed by long slow drive to get home.

The rare one who could, might already be off to bed. Resting up for another go at it tomorrow!

At least that's what I would do if I had such luck...

What Billski said: we didn't want to stop to take pics.

We had over two feet at Okemo yesterday.

Yes, it was a bit heavy. But it came down like CRAZY. And the place was empty. The bad roads kept everyone away. We had the mountain pretty much to ourselves. Suffice it to say that on some runs, my pole didn't even touch bottom. We had a blast. The best day of the season.

Pics/Vids on epic powder days = more of a chance for somebody else to track out what could be yours.

I give them a pass based on powder day rules :)

You know, there was so much pow, and it just kept coming that there was no need to compete for anything. That made for a much more congenial atmosphere in the lodge. Everyone was laughing, smiling, talking to each other unlike the ordinary east coast powder day. I met several new people yesterday, all who were willing/needed to take a break and chat.

Here are your pics: http://forums.alpinezone.com/showthread.php?p=516289#post516289

I have no idea what you're talking about dmc. Without emoticons or other indicator I would think that you are abjectly cynical. Take 20 people you'll get 20 different opinions of what "good" is. You're entirely entitled to condescending remarks (well, at least it comes across that way) but in my book it's all about experience not the lines you make or the performance you make. Don't dump on someone else's good time. Sometimes it's better to say nothing.

think and read into what you want...

All I'm saying is - I like people that stand around and chat on Pow days... It gives us who hammer the upper edge.. It all good.. not saying you should stop... I'm encouraging it...

So whats the problem?

I intrpreted dmc's comment as positive - sorta like you're keepin the fun in skiing/being a goodwill ambassador etc.

There's room for everyone! As social as some are is as aggressive as others are...

Easy.
First you call my photos lame.
Then you suggest that I just stand around and talk while you get the best stuff.
The way it is written, those are pretty condescending remarks.
