51 today, heading to loon in the AM.

10 year old around 35 days, 6 year old around 25 days.

HVAC at school failed; skiing with the girls tomorrow and now have a good excuse to take a few more days off this week.

Yeah I'm pretty done with Belle until we get some more snow. Looking forward to Killington Mon Tues for a needed change of pace.

mountain creek on a weekday morning is probably ... not that bad (?)
Not bad at all, in a good snow year it's actually great sometimes. It would be better this season if it had been cold and snowy but oh well. Should finally be snowmaking temps for the next few days. They actually started blowing around 10 AM on a couple of closed trails, I guess the temperature or humidity came down enough mid morning.

I get a lot of weekdays off work and MC is only a 10 minute drive for me so I'm happy with it.

Killington delivered. Monday was good and I was able to comfortably ski all but the steepest trees (which were still closed and looked thin). I was surprised how good the coverage was. Trails were decent; there was a snowmaking assault on Double Dipper. Good, but the best snow was in the woods.
Tuesday was fantastic with 3" of new snow and great skiing. My best day of the season hands down.

Never skied the glades at Okemo before, they’d be fun on a powder day.
Stuck to woods and ungroomed for most of the day and wasn’t disappointed.

Best day of the season so far for the woods. Almost knee deep and untracked in a lot of spots if you knew where to look. Lapped Upper Liftline to Goat Woods most of the day. Smugglers was in excellent shape as well.

It's kind of sad I will probably not ski Stowe anymore unless I happen to wind up with an Epic pass one day.

Not quite where I wanted to be but last year at this time I was still stuck on 1, so progress at least? Day 8 tomorrow.

In the process of buying my first house, so a west trip is undoubtedly out of the question at this point (and maybe for a few years?) for financial reasons. Hopefully still have a good amount of east days left, would like to get up to 20 but we'll see as my time will probably be pretty tied up the next couple months.

What I can guarantee is that our string of mild winters will come to an end after this year. Heat was included in the apartment I've been living in for 9 years. Now that I'll probably have an oil tank to fill next winter? Arctic outbreak city incoming.

As I had hoped Belle made a ton of snow everywhere on the mountain. Most importantly, they left the bumps on Belleayre Run and Winnisook and made snow on top of them. Those bumps, especially on Winnisook, made for great skiing. Back to Belle tomorrow picking up my new pair of Kore 93's on the way up. Then thinking K for Thurs and Fri.

i didn't ski this past weekend bc saturday was so cold and then i had an unexpected car problem saturday that kept me from going sunday. car repair was completed swiftly and free under warranty, but dang what a bummer. at least it happened at 5 PM in hoboken next to a bar where we could wait for the tow and drink in the warmth, and not at 5 AM in nowhere new england on the side of the road.

taking this weekend off since i promised girlfriend i'd be around the weekend before my big trip which starts 2/17. very strange for me to take the entire first half of February off.
