Oh, sorry I missed you. Would have been nice to say hi. Yup, sure was quiet there. DV today then still hoping for 2 LCC days. Otherwise will be PC for the last 3.

If you see somebody with a red/yellow kayak looking helmet skiing with twin 11 year old girls, that's probably me.

Incredible day today. Snow was completely soft right from the start. All of the Frontside and Backside snowfields were open. Spent a lot of time lapping it this morning. Run of the day was definitely Bubblecuffer. With a close second to Powder Keg and Winters Way. Still plenty of snow everywhere. The glades are still buried. More to come tomorrow.

FINALLY was able to get out for a day and just in the nick of time. Beautiful day although I am way too out of ski shape to be skiing spring bumps all day. OL kicked my ass lol.

Orange ya happy to be in a bubble? Surprise snow storm at Canyons! Spent most of the afternoon in the Condor area, so not much bubble time during the storm. It softened up nicely from the morning sun.20230414_132544.jpg

Good or a bad thing...now that has to corn up...
Definitely a little bit of everything so far on this trip. Only lousy condition day was yesterday at Deer Valley. Spent most of the day on icy groomers with a few icy bump runs thrown in. Can't complain too much. Now just hoping we can get up and down LCC the next 2 days without issues.

Day 56:Killington

Gotta love 70 degrees, blue skies and good coverage in April. 29 Runs and called it a day. Superstar was in great condition and the Snowdon 6 was great for cruising, even did a couple terrain park laps. Serendipitously ran into Kusty as I was arriving.

Another fantastic spring day. Certainly the hottest day of the week. Was nice to have KP running. Snowfields past Powder Keg melted drastically in the 14 hours after last chair Thursday to Friday morning. Powder Keg was amazing though along with Ripsaw and Haulback.

A little cooler and bit more wind. But still an epic day. The added skier traffic finally formed some big bumps all over the mountain. The pond skimming event was also very entertaining. Overall one of the best stretches of spring skiing.

Picture below is 4:30 Saturday in the same spot I took in my last post, the snowpack certainly took a hit but there’s still a ton of snow and most trails are still wall to wall or close to it. Hoping to get a few more days in here before closing.

Day 44, Snowbird, UT, I took this photo of an adaptive snowboarder getting ready to hit a big jump in the newly constructed terrain park in Mineral Basin. When he landed it I turned to the guy next to me and said, "man, that'll make you shake your head (in awe)." So impressive to see adaptive folks still charging at life despite disabilities!

Adaptive skier/boards are so awesome and a huge inspiration. Love seeing the stuff they can do with their disabilities.

This is one of my favorite ski videos

He's about 5 feet in the air here, hard to see. He threw in a little wiggle too.

We saw him skiing back there on Sat. Impressive indeed!

Now if United will fly us home some time I'll be really happy. Sure wish Delta didn't get rid of their red eye.
