Day #50 today, spread between: ragged, gunstock, pats, loon, sunday river, Killington and okemo.

Highlight was getting 78 year old Dad to join us for his first day of the season.

Decent day. Skied nonstop 9-4. Natural trails were a very strange consistency of powder and boilerplate. The glades for the most part were much more consistent. The best was probably Double Blind.

My best 2 days of the season so far. K claimed 15" but it seemed more like 10-12" of blower powder on top of a firm and icy base. Lower angle trees were awesome, steeper lines a bit sketchy still. Natural snow trails all skied very well, I especially liked Powerline and Ridge Run. Downdraft was steep snowmaking whales top to bottom and very fun to ski. Great change of pace hoping to get back up to VT later next week. More snow possible!

Finally looks and feels like winter. Areas near or at 100% with solid conditions. Can’t believe it took until the third weekend of January. Hoping this weeks set back is minor and brief.

Snowed most of the time we were there, started drizzling at low elevation (Cab lot) at end of day. One of the first to ride Super Condor this year, so that was good.

Best case scenario is that the north country stays all snow later this week, especially at elevation. Worst case is the high elevations get a few hours of rain and upper 30s, but overall a net positive kind of like last weekend.

Further south looks to be a full on thaw.

What a great day. Belle made a ton of new snow. Everywhere. They made big whales and they top coated bumps. Groomed stuff is excellent too. Some natural terrain is open. No trees still very bony.

17 days yesterday. Had all intentions of bagging 18 today,, however the forecast was wrong, the freezing rain has already started in PA. Next chance looks like Friday.
Agree. Yesterday was great, but skipped today due to possible icy roads. Maybe tomorrow?

First time in Utah. Got in late Saturday and decided to spend the first day at Snowbasin. Temps were spring like in the low 40s and sunny. We very much enjoyed the mountain. Especially the area to skiers right of the Strawberry Gondi as well as No Name Peak. IMG_2803.png

Yesterday was a carbon copy day weather wise if not warmer. Devil’s Castle I believe just opened that day or the day before so there was plenty of untracked snow available. Also found supreme bowl and the Catherine’s area to have some sweet bumps. Spent the rest of the afternoon lapping Mineral Basin in the warm sun. Today’s plan is to start at Snowbird.
