I met Andy and Violetta years ago and skied with them a few times too. We also enjoyed being at happy hours, BBQs and parties together. He was very enthusiastic about skiing and the great outdoors in general. He loved sharing his pictures with all of us. He will be missed. RIP Andy.

Just got the bad news from Violetta. Andy died today at 7:30 AM.

Eastern Freestyle just posted the 2013-2014 schedule and for the Eastern B Region it lists a competition on Jan 24 at Abenaki. I do see that it's only for aerials. I've never heard of this ski area so that's why I am asking the question.

Just an update: Andy is now in a hospice facility. Please keep praying for him and Violetta.

Many of you may not know AndyZee but he is need of prayers as he is battling Stage 4 pancreatic cancer. I think Andy is a member of this forum and I am sure he has skied with some of you in the past. Please keep him in your prayers.

I felt the need to post a reply to this very important thread. I love my home mountain of Killington because of the varied terrain, the good friends and the night life that is available.

I just read this thread. Sorry to hear about Bobby and hope he is on his way to recovery. Sad that the mountain does not mention it since he is one of the employees. Prayers and vibes go out to him and family.

Many more than you I'm sure since you're a fair weather skier. I know for a fact that I skied 65 days this year and 70 last year and the years past were all around 50. I have only been keeping track for a few years so no total for me.

I have skied 6 days so far in March (all weekend days) and plan on skiing 5 more (that includes 3 Easter vacation days).

If all works out as planned 10 days - that includes part of the Easter vacation week and all weekends after.

Since I am obsessed with skiing I don't think I would get bored if I had 365 days of it. However, I do love spring, summer and fall too with all those seasons have to offer so I don't mind if my skiing season starts in October and ends in June.
