It’ll go through.

Vail can control 4 big CO areas (Vail, Beaver Creak, Breckenridge, Keystone) with limited pass access to Telluride.

But Altera can’t control 2 CO areas (Winter Park and now A-Basin) with limited pass access to Copper.

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.

Now’s not the time to enforce anti-trust issues. That was 28 years ago under the Clinton administration when Vail merged. The very same administration which broke up ASC in the east!

Yeah I thought it was odd considering Vail’s market share.

And no, I did not file a request with the Feds to do this. 😂😂😂😂

All my friends who can't ski a lick love A Basin. They must have good cheese burgers and lenient drug laws. Meow in deed.

It's always time to enforce anti trust laws! SKI fell because they grew too fast and market conditions. The Feds don't bail out ski areas - ski areas don't build war machines like GM. The asemble lines can change from plows to .....

Copper afik is unlimited, Eldora too. As long as Winter Park and Steamboat are on it, it's worth it for me. I also plan to support the independents in the area as well (Loveland, Monarch, Cooper and Granby).

Yeah, and Vail has unlimited access at Crested Butte as well. Major issues with DOJ sticking it's nose in at this point IMHO.
All DOJ will find is Vail has bigger control of the Colorado market. Higher concentration geographically too.

I’m sure there’re locals who wish A-Basin remain independent. But It will be hard for them to justify blocking Alterra’s purchase of A-basin when there’s a bigger monopoly right there next door. Also gives an automatic rebuttal by Alterra that there’s no harm to local skiing public.
