I would not get mad. Anyone who wants to start a gathering is welcome to do so. I'll help if needed or wanted. My 1st thought was to do an ASC
outing... A Threedom outing at least one night outing hopefully more. Some of the less commerical resorts should be be considered also. That is where I would like to get more imput.
There were request by folks last year to go where people already had passes. I see Tb mentioned polls. That might happen. I'm more of an informal open guy. I would just like to hear people's thoughts 1st. Austin any help would be appreicated. I helped with the groups getting organized before I was asked to help on a more oranized basis last season. I will start something up next week.

I know, I was just messin with ya Bob. ;) I'm certainly game for most places, as long as they're within reasonable driving distances. I'd even be game for an outing at that terribly over-crowded mountain the Joeys call Huntah with our resident Huntah ambassadors DMC and Jim G. ;)

Boy have you guys run off topic ;)

Reasonable driving distance is a must... AND if you want me there, trails that a skiier with only one season under her belt can handle. :)

I can almost be certain there will be no political issues on our outings. My focus is on turns and community. Time and place for the other stuff. BVibert, you can't anger me. All in fun.

She stayed on the green trails off of the sunny side lift (I think thats the name), except for one or two trips to the mid-station on the single.

Back on topic. The Asc Bronze imo is the best deal for all age groups.

Still dont think it is that great for the boston area... every ski area is pretty far away. Only close one is attitrash, and i dont think it compares to wildcat at all...
How far is killington from boston area anyway?

Bob R might be able to provide another (perhaps better) data point, but for me at the MA/NH border, Killington's close to 2.5 hours away.

I'd actually second thetrailboss's recommendation for Pats Peak as a good place to get a pass. It may not have the same size or challenge as places further north, but it has decent variety for its vertical and, for you, the drive may be within your tolerance...

Killington 2.5, Sunday River 3hrs, Attitash, same as wildcat, Sugar Loaf 4 to 5 hours from Bost. Ealierst openings latest closing usually. Most variety and trails. This if from someone who has a place closer to the Booth Creek Resorts. We each have our favorites. This is the best deal IMO money wise (Value). That may not be the biggest factor.

Here's the link to their season pass page:

http://www.patspeak.com/seaspass.htm

Looked like the price was $269 adult, $169 junior (up to 17 YO).

I can't speak for going from near Boston, but Pats is a short drive on I-89, so if you know how far of a drive Concord NH is for you then I'd add about 10 - 15 minutes to that...
