NORTH CONWAY, New Hampshire — Cranmore Mountain Resort is celebrating a 28 percent increase in skier visits. Although specific totals and dollar amounts are kept confidential, in comparing end-of-season tallies of the 2004/2005 winter season with last year's figures, it became clear that revenues were also up substantially across the board.

"I want to congratulate the entire Cranmore staff for our success this season," says Cranmore General Manager Ben Wilcox. "Our staff's commitment to teamwork and providing quality operations was clearly recognized by our guests consistently throughout the season and I am proud to be part of a strong team."

Cranmore's close proximity to North Conway Village makes it a natural hub of activity for families visiting the Mount Washington Valley and this winter witnessed the return of top-to-bottom night skiing and snowboarding, including the wildly popular Darkside Terrain Park. Cranmore illuminated the night sky with 11 lighted trails every Saturday night and during vacation periods. Also under the lights, Cranmore's Wild Cherry Pepsi Grand Prix Tubing Park offered seven lanes of radar-gun-recorded, high-speed excitement. Cranmore successfully showed its festive side this winter with Cranapalooza, a new festival of music, entertainment and games for families every Saturday night throughout the
season.

Good news for Ben as this was his first season at Cranmore. He is the former marketing director for Bretton Woods.

I credit three things to their success:

1. Cheap lift ticket prices that yield a good experience.

2. The return of night skiing in an area where there isn't much of it and at a good price.

3. Location, location, location
