What mountain do you hope to be at? I don't ever seem to make Killingtons first day so I usually end up going to Hunter in mid Nov.

My first day of the season should be August 17th at Termas de Chillan.

I think I speak for everyone when I say "You suck."

I'm just jealous. My first day out will be wherever has decent snow, at the right price, at the right time. Who knew last year it'd October 30th?

The first 6 inch snow storm. So I have no idea, maybe October, maybe December. All that I know is that I won't go and ski a strip of ice with a thousand other people. I would rather go for a hike. And it will either be Cannon or Wildcat.

I will probably hike up somewhere after the first decent snow. So it will be somewhere in either NH or VT and probably in November. It has been Stowe most years...

I've been planning to make the Killington opening, or the first Friday K is open the past few years and have been skunked every time. I will try again this season. If I don't make that I usually hit the Jiminy opening in mid-November. I also usually hit the Sundown opening in early December.

Either Killington in early/mid November or Wachusett on November 24th.

August 4th, Portillo. But I'll probably count that as an 05/06 days....

First day of 05/06 will either be the Mt. Wash Auto road in September, or Cannon sometime in late october/early november. Whenever the snow flys.

Two years ago, Cannon 11/6/04

Jiminy Peak has beat Gore and WF by a week the past 2 years. If that holds true again this season probably them. Hunter is a possibility for me too.

If WF gets Oct. snow again I'm going to hike the Memorial Highway and ski that. I should have done it last year.

.......

Hopefully, the Loaf will get Hit by another early season dump....as it's usually Sugarloaf for me. If they open during the week with a substantial base...it can be pretty epic;-)...as most all the leisure-club skiers wait a few weeks...

*Question: So where the h*ll is all the moisture ( = snow) when the mercury seems right for skiing....?

First Day for 06/07

If I can get my house sold by mid September, there is a good chance I will get to make some turns by the end of September. Now that would be awesome! I have been following some of the posts on the FirstTracksOnline forums, and there are guys who have 22 consecutive months of turns working. Pretty cool!
