Into May for sure this year! I missed all the good spring skiing last year and I won't let that happen again.

Lift serviced ended for me on May 5th with hike to skiing ending the season on May12th. Warren and I skied in powder more or less from April 15th (closing day at Saddleback) to April 18th at Sugarloaf last season.

With all the snow in Maine at the moment I am looking forward to a long spring season with discounted lodging once everyone(not me) is tired of the snow and done with skiing.

Curiously when I was given a ticket with my voucher, I got a coupon good for a $49 lift ticket good anytime between March 1st - May 31st. I wonder how long Sunday River expects to be opened?

Wow..Maine is off the Chain...does that rhyme..I used to live in Saco near Old Orchard Beach. 20 minutes south of Portland. When is Regaee weekend at Sugarloaf??

Wait is there a last day contest???..Hint hint..maybe another spin-off thread..:lol:I know there's been turns every month of the year in New England..could this year turn out like the winter of 1816..that has always been my dream...Endless Winter..or from the lyrics from the Warren Miller movie.and extra stoke from late season wipeouts..

May or later for sure. If there's still lift served then & the conditions are reasonably good, I'll go as late as they'll stay open. Last year I skied on May 5 (Sugarbush) & 6 (Killington) and had a blast! Due to family commitments, I usually stop once there's no more lift served.

I'll ski Killington until they close. At the moment, that sadly is looking like mid-April. If Sugarbush goes into May and I'm not in jail for torching the admin building at Killington, I'll likely ski there on weekends or day trip to Sunday River.

I'll re-assess things in May. I have a May 7th meeting in Boulder so I might hit A-Basin while I'm there. I'm also thinking about hitting Mt Washington for a day or two if the snow in Tucks holds up after the lift serviced stuff ends.

I already have my August Chile trip airplane tickets. I emailed the Int'l Sales Mgr at the resort but she hasn't responded yet. I suspect she's on vacation for a while.

As late as the lifts run. Sadly the hardest part is finding someone to go with. I'll look to this thread, as the season winds down, to see who's still willing to go. I like the idea of Mt. Snow staying open late. Skiied Mt. Snow one year May 14th!

I'll keep going as long as Mount Snow keeps spinning the lifts. Maybe do a hike for turns in the couple of weeks following closing there, although my weekend freetime tends to be sparse in the few weeks after ski season as all the "at home" chores I've been putting off all winter finally get some attention then.

Good ole' days............

Never skied anywhere but Killington in May, and that was almost a guarantee every year on the Superstar Glacier. Unfortunately they are most likely out of the game. I guess it's up to the Bush, Wildcat, or Sunday River to step up.......................I'll try to be there if they're open!
I recall it being about 90 degress on that May 12, 2001, skied in shorts & T. Actually started the day with Sylark or Bittersweeet open beside Superstar, til it melted away about noon..................
That is the year I skied in 8 straight months, lift served, in New England. They opened in October 2000 and I was there, I beleive on the 29th!

I remember one year skiing Killington in June. If I recall correctly you had the option of skiing off the Superstar Quad or you could take the old Killington Double up for lift serviced Mountain Biking.

I figure mid April will end my season, basically it's dependent on how late Belleayre stays open, last year they were open until April 20 something. If some place within 2 1/2 hours of my home is open later I'll go there but it will probably be Belleayre.

Don't count Mount Snow out. I think they will aim to be a late season player as well.

If Mount Snow is open after Belleayre I may have to head there, I started my season there even though it is about a 3 1/2 hour drive.
